As someone who missed last week's episode, why exactly did Verna quit. I got the impression that she was just lazy and couldn't handle actually having to do something, from the hotel episode, but what was her reasoning for finally quitting?

Basically she quit because she couldn't handle the pressure. Both from the show and from what she put on herself.
