I think the only thing I get enjoyment from this show is when Everest's daughter is on screen.
The rest of the subplots aren't quite doing it for me, even with the shocking development at the end of this episode, I was like, hmmm, too bad. I guess I still never got emotionally involved in that character, so it didn't really make an impression on me.

Damn she is hot.
I like the show. It isn't great, but I find it entertaining. I think it is lame that they are not airing a new episode next week. Instead, showing the first 3 eps. They repeat the show so often that a re-airing isn't necessary.

When Everest was talking to Eddie about him "pounding his daughter" I was
I guess the old guy's death was supposed to be shocking but it din't get much more then a shoulder shrug from me.

Anyone watch this week's? It held my attention better than previous episodes, i think i'm getting into it a little. I wish they'd take the ticker off the bottom of the screen during this.

Wow, no comments on this week's episode. I'm pretty impressed that they keep on surprising me. This episode almost felt like a season finale with all the developments.
I think my biggest problem with the series is one of my pet peeves where stories tend to make the bad guys too powerful. In addition to the fact that the antagonists are going to annoy the viewer the same time they annoy the protagonists, it's also lame because it becomes less believable when the good guys inevitably end up winning in the end.

I was going to start a general every-week Tilt thread, but decided not to. This week's episode was awesome. I like the previews for the next episode too. Shaping up to be a very good show.
Was Playmakers any good? ... And thanks to Red Dog about the ESPN1 tip. No ticker on my recording this week.

I swore I heard the sound of flushing after watching the beatdown the gang received. It's the equivalent of going all-in and someone else holding the nuts.
Poor Eddie, losing some mighty fine tail (the daughter).
Anyhow, the scummy casino prez is now going to work with the persistence cop to bust up the Matador and the guy who booted him to the curb. That's just a little too convenient to wrap up the show/story in 2-3 episodes.
So, things are really dire for the "protagonists", how will they get back at the Matador in short order? I guess the casino prez will unload the dirt on the Matador, which will help the "poker gang" climb back and get him in a showdown.

It should be intersting to see how the show goes on now that Everest knows about the 3 of them working together.
I wonder if they will focus more on the cop now for the next few episodes since he't the only one in a position to get at Everest.
