i was thinking the same thing of their convo at the end. great exchange. best they've had since joey chose pacey. i hope neither of them end up with joey. i wish they'd just be friends.

Patman 03-27-03 07:03 AM

"Irony" is the word for this episode. But I enjoyed it.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Taped it. Hope to watch it either tonight or tomorrow...

Sorry for the repost. I could've sworn I checked the page before I posted the other thread. Anyway:

I loved it. Very nice character moments for the original trio. Loved the Joey/Pacey intro and the Dawson/Pacey ending. Doug and Pacey had their little thing too. I reaaaaly hope they end it with Joey and Pacey. I just can't see how they're gonna still end it with Dawson/Joey with the setup they've been doing for the Pacey/Joey thing these past few eps.

WiccanPagan 03-27-03 01:36 PM

sorry to close the other thread kal, just had to go with the one open longer ;) (like i actually closed it  )

but i gotta disagree with one part of yer post. i did love the joey/pacey intro, and the dawson pacey ending. they were great. and the end was easily the best "alone" moments we have seen of dawson and pacey in seasons. it really shows their growth as characters. as for joey, i don't want her ending up with either of the two. they have had so much drama over that love triangle and i don't think they need to cause more. i want them to end peacefully.
Spoiler:
(spoiler'd just in case) i really want pacey to end with emma, though it seems like jack may be ungaying (needed a word) himself to make her a citizen.
the only thing bad i saw with this episode is no other characters. how annoying. my favorite characters (atm) were left out. i love jack and emma's stories right now. they're excellent. one of the better parts of the episode? no jen no audrey. smart writers. :)

Kal-El 03-27-03 05:04 PM

No harm done. I had completely forgotten about Jack and Emma's storyline. I always thought that he'd finally be able to get it up and hook up with Jen since they almost did anyway during "A Winter's Night". As for the Pacey/Emma, I think it's too rushed if they end up together at the end. And I'm really just a big Pacey/Joey fan. :D

Kevin Williamson on Dawson's Creek finale

Apparently, Kevin Williamson is going to write the 2-hour movie finale for the show. Slated to air May 14
Spoiler:
It's going to be set 5 years into the future and will center around a wedding.
"There will be surprises in terms of who shows up, who's doing what and who ends up with whom". He won't confirm if one of the Creekers will croak or not and who Joey will end up with, but it's definitely gonna be either Dawson or Pacey. So I guess that spoils WiccanPagan's dream of them being just friends in the end

I think it's fitting that KW go back and finish what he started. The whole interview can be found here:

That is pretty cool.

I am sure he can make that an entertaining two hours.

Hmmm...I seriously wouldn't if I were you.

WiccanPagan 03-29-03 12:44 AM

thanks for the tip kj, i won't. guess i'll wait out the season. thanks. ;)

mdc3000 03-29-03 07:01 PM

That is so wicked... Williamson hasn't really done anything of note since he left Dawson... hopefully his return will make for a great swan song...

Geofferson 03-29-03 07:21 PM

Glad to see that KW will be writing it.

vwbeetlvr 03-29-03 07:53 PM

they should film it in HD!

Brewc 03-29-03 09:41 PM

Wiccan if this spoils it I'm sorry it shouldn't, but the final episode takes place 5 years in the future, that's as far as iIwill go into what he said in the interview. I dunno how the rest of this season will bear into the final episode.

GuessWho 03-29-03 09:49 PM

So basically, none of the rest of the season matters since everything will change during the time span.

You have a point. I never thought of it like that.

Lovelines
Spoiler:
Joey and Eddie's emotional and sexual relationship is played out on stage during a counseling center benefit with special guests Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla (guest-starring as themselves). Meanwhile, at the same event, Jack and David (guest star Greg Rikaart) deal with the insecurities in their relationship, a sober Audrey returns to Boston with her eye on Dr. Drew, and Jen opens up to C.J. about Grams' cancer.

Joshua Jackson directed the episode written by Jason M. Palmer.

madara 04-16-03 08:17 PM

This one boggles me why they choice to represent rushed problems with celebrity stars when so many more natural ways would have made story real and interesting. Is Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla another Kmart for WB to advertise? It would have been fine just for comedy but laughs died 10 mins into the show.

Geofferson 04-16-03 08:28 PM

Taped it - I'll catch it later.

WiccanPagan 04-16-03 11:40 PM

i actually enjoyed dr drew and adam. they were great. it was just that everything else was horrible. all these problems coming out at the same time in public and in the same circle of friends is highly unrealistic.

i hated seeing audrey come back; busy needs to get something else to do, dawson's isn't her bag.

i loved the returneddie (oliver hudson). he's hot and was great when he was on earlier this season, but him and joeys' story this week was weak, very weak.

great to see jack back, too, but they turned him into an a-hole, which he hasn't been since he quit his frat.

jen sucked as usual. her character hasn't had anything goo (lines or stories) in many seasons. how she handles the no questions period was ridiculous. the writing in that sequence was horrible.

one of the few things i was happy about was no dawson and pacey. not that i dislike them, just that it is great to see the story stand up without them (not that it really stood tall). what happened to emma? she rocks, and hasn't been around since pacey's party, i think.

jackson directed? maybe that's why it sucked that bad. the wiritng was awful in this ep.

it is really sad how the show is winding down in not a great manner. just like buffy (last episode aside), the shows are ending but going out with a little fizzle instead of a bang.

and i'm spent.
