Cool ep. I enjoy the rift between Apollo and the Commander. Apollo is such a puss. I thought it was neat how they used the large levers to open the cell doors on the prison ship. I worked in a jail that was built around 1910, and it had those same style levers to open the cell doors.

Just heard the UK theme, and really don't see how it is so different from the one here in the U.S., but then again I don't really pay attention to it much so I guess I can't compare that much.

Ditto, although I think I like the US theme better.

They need to chill with the spoiler heavy commercials and next eps preview. This episode would have been so much better had the first time anyone had seen Richard Hatch was when he walked out of his cell.

I've really become addicted to this show. We've just had the season finale over here in the UK.

I just watched the season finale also & all I can say is "HOLY Crap ! "
This is the best Sci-fi I have seen in a long time

I have also heard they ordered six more episodes to add to season 1 ,& they are preparing the sets as we speak in Vancouver,Canada .Maybe they will be ready to continue airing after the first 13 finally finish airing here ,or maybe after they re-run them once

Can't wait

themes aren't *that* different. but oddly...the us version seems to convey a little bit of hope....the uk's vocals sound like despair.

I agree somewhat. The U.S. theme sounds more like a call to action while the U.K. theme seems more of a mournful dirge.

Just FYI for those on dial-up... the above linked wav is 10MB. Get if you can (better quality)... but if you can't here's an MP3 version (678kb)

I just saw ep. 13... oh my god. This is the best SciFi show ever. Farscape? Bah! Star Trek? Screw it! Hell I cant think of any scifi show that comes close now.

I am confused. Aren't they only airing the fourth episode here this week? They've already aired 13 episodes elsewhere?

England got them early, just like they kept showing SG1 and SGA while sci-fi had them on hold for the last 3 months

To add fuel to that fire (and I'm not sure if this has been posted), I just read an interview with "Boomer": she says the network insisted on changing the ship in "33" from no nuke and people in the windows to having a nuke and no people, stating it would make for an "easy decision to destroy the ship".

Makes you wonder just how much better all shows would be without interference.

In England over Skyone, or they are available as torrents.

Did the U.K. version have no nuke with people in the windows?

While seeing that version would have been cool, it would also have made an already downbeat show more depressing. I love the series, but it could stand to lighten up a little here and there.

Well I have done what I can and got a few people into the show.

One of them is a Nielsen house :-) and he likes the show very much.

I have seen all 13 episodes and have to say the best sci-fi writing since Babylon 5. This is an automatic purchase when the season set arrives on DVD.

Just watched 13 last night, wow, what an ending. Didn't expect that at all.
