Tru Calling Officially Canceled
#53
Just got done watching episode 3. Not as good as the first two of the season imo, but I did like the way it all tied together in the end. The preview for next week's episode "Last Good Day" looks interesting, seems Jack gets asked for help and the roles are reversed.

When you go to FOX's FAQ section, all it says is this:
4. Where is "TRU CALLING" - when will the show be back on the air?
ANSWER:
TRU CALLING will return to the schedule with ALL-NEW episodes sometime in 2005!!

Yeah - to add insult to injury THIS is the crap they are showing tonight instead of Tru Calling:
Stars Without Makeup
What the hell is going ON with the world?!?!?
DVDTalk thread for that show.

After seeing 3 episodes from the second season, I'm even more upset that they chose other shows in place of Tru Calling - namely Point Pleasant where I can't even follow the storyline because the actors all look the same (among many other reasons that I won't even bother going through). What a waste. Season 2 is proving that this series isn't dull and repetetive. I especially like the addition of Jason Priestly (coming from a girl who never saw one ep of 90210) and to return of Tru's father as a baddy.
One question: what really happened to the girl that played Tru's sister? I mean, she's on for the first half of the first season and then leaves. Was it a production decision to cut the sister act or the actor's? I just found it weird that she left and was never referred to again in the show.

I don't remember how they explained her out of the show, she was gone about the same time that Jack showed up. Maybe they decided the Jack/Tru story line would lend itself to more episodes, than her sister. Maybe since they already had Harrison for a family connection they decided she didn't work in as well.
I just watched episode 4, and would rank it back up with the first one. I really enjoyed this one as it gave a glimpse into Jack's world, and his feelings on his job.
I found this info at tvtomes.com
'Twas the Night Before Christmas...Again
# NOTE: FOX canceled Tru Calling in favor of the new supernatural thriller Point Pleasant. Production had already begun on this episode, so FOX let them finish it. This episode was made so FOX would feel forced to air the second season before December, but it didn't work.
So since they got notice the show was cancelled, and this episode wasn't finished yet, they were able to add some closure to the series?
only 2 left

If not, then you have to go the pay route for a news service. Retention is really good with who I use (newshosting.com)

Watched episode 4 and was impressed that Jack is finally opening up his inner feelings about his job. The ending was very good, showing the struggle Jack lives with. I wonder what would happen to him if he didn't fulfill the boss' orders? What does Dick Davies hold over Jack?
