Season 2 has started in new zealand. Episode 2.1 aired last friday evening.
Its online if you know where to look. They are showing the last 6 episodes. In case people were not aware of this. |
Point Pleasant SUCKS! I've given it 2 tries. What were they thinking at FOX??
BASTARDS!! |
Ive looked for episode 2.1...no luck...
|
Dammit. What a stupid fucking station. Geez.
I'm going to have to start hunting down the new episodes as they are put up online since we might get screwed out of seeing them later on. |
Just finished watching the seasone premiere... What a loss.
Spoiler:
I'd been trying to justify the cancellation as Fox seeing the quality of the first six episodes go downhill drastically. Now I see that just the opposite occured, I can add another show to the growing pile of "reasons to hate Fox." |
Episode 2.1 is available on several of the binaries multimedia newsgroups.

Anyone know when they will air these in the States? I thought I read somewhere that they were going to show them at some point.

FOX Won't Rule Out 'Tru Calling' Return (Tuesday, January 18 10:25 AM) LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) First, FOX took the Thursday 9 p.m. ET time period from "Tru Calling" and handed it to "North Shore" (which promptly tanked). Then, to add insult to injury, the show's original 13-episode order was cut to a measly six. Finally, after "North Shore" went off to a truncated conclusion, FOX opted to deliver the time period to another occult drama, the sudsy "Point Pleasant." Although it may remain in limbo, FOX refuses to let the ink dry on the "Tru Calling" death certificate. "We finished six episodes of "Tru Calling" and we anticipate putting them on air at some point," FOX Entertainment President Gail Berman told reports at the semi-annual Television Critics Association press tour. In its first season, "Tru Calling" averaged an anemic 4.55 million viewers per week. The show, which stars Eliza Dushku as a young lady who can speak with the dead, received a creative boost from the addition of Jason Priestley and found a somewhat expanded audience on DVD. The show's small cadre of fans hoped that it could find a new audience following "The O.C." in FOX's slightly rejuvenated Thursday line-up. Instead, FOX has attempted to find better pairings with its successful primetime soap. "What changed for us was when we saw 'Point Pleasant" we really felt we had a show that was incredibly compatible with 'The O.C.," so our thoughts changed, not so much about 'Tru Calling,' but about the possibility of not only having an exciting show and a winner at 8 o'clock, but also something that could really make headway for us at 9 o'clock," Berman said. While critical acclaim and awards attention managed to save other low-rated FOX offerings like "Arrested Development," "Tru Calling" never earned that kind of regard. It's unclear how, if ever, FOX intends to distribute the show's remaining and lingering six episodes, but no doubt the Internet petitioning will continue. |
Thanks to a kind poster I was able to watch the first episode of the second season. It would of been a hell of a ride had they kept this show going. The evil/death factor in the show was just getting going and it looks like we'll get a taste of that in the 6 episodes left. It really is a loss of a great show.
I hope that the starts and crew really contribute to the hopefully eventual DVD release of these last few shows. While searching for a way to get the episode I found tons of fan sites for the show. I know I would love to see some some interviews and hear some commentary tracks for these 6 episodes and I'm sure the other hardcore fans out there would as well. |
Where can I find this episode? Any bit torrents?
|
Thanks Lorenzol, I think that's the article I read. Hopefully they will announce the dates soon. I wanna see where they were headed before they got canceled.
|
Just watched it and agree it was pretty good. The addition of Jack last season really raised the show and it looks like it would have continued this season. It will be interesting to see how far the Harrison story plays out in the six episodes.

I just finished getting around to watching this episode, and admit I really enjoyed it. Sorry to hear the series got cancelled as it was one of my favorite shows last season. Thought it was funny when I ran across the torrent last weekend couldn't remember seeing that, and recalled reading something about cancellation. Unfortunately I'm guessing there will be a lot of loose ends left hanging depending on how much if any the production crew got of the cancellation. I found this episode really funny with Tru/Jack playing off each other and leaving notes, anticipating each other's moves. I had read somewhere that they were getting a new morgue assistant this season but can't recall what site that was on. Anybody know when (what time on Friday) this airs in New Zealand? I figured out that with the time difference (+/- a few hours) the new torrent should be up about 6am Friday morning my time. :)

Oh my GOD! Why is it taking almost 20 hours to download?? Its been going over 3 hours and its only at 19%.
|
I haven't had any luck getting the new episode but I refuse to give up yet. I will see the remaining 5 no matter what.
|
the multimedia newsgroup has it.
|
Just got done watching episode 2...
Spoiler:
|
I'm glad it was cancelled, now Eliza will have to do low budget straight to video movies that require her to do nude scenes!
|
I just watched epsiode 2 "Grace", and while it didn't have the same punch as the season opener, it was enjoyable. Now though my anxiety is starting to mount knowing there are only 4 more episodes left. :( I'm afraid that there won't be any closure to any of the new story lines, and is it just me or do you think the new lady psychiatrist would have died before the end of the season?
|
I just finished the new episode and I'm amazed and saddened. 2 great episodes down but only 4 left.
I agree that it didn't have the same punch as the first one but it was unpredictable and enjoyable. I'm ready for the next one. :) |
Is the 2nd episode available online yet?
|
Seeing Eliza on That 70s Show last night makes me really miss TC. Man, she looked amazing.
