When Kendra says that the animals dont even look that skinny I was rolling on the floor. When she says she wanted to take one home I pictured them serving her dinner to her and her guests.

The producers sure went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy to be rid of Jonathan/Victoria. Every scene had them yelling at each other at full throat. And Victoria's shrieking at her boo-boo was WAY over the top, especially compared to Freddy just shrugging his off. I suppose it wasn't all that different to the rest of the episodes, but by the end I was begging for them to not show them anymore.

I also didn't quite get what Rebecca was all bent out of shape about at the airport. Hellbaby annoys me too, but I didn't think him chastizing her for telling Kris/Jon about the other flight to be that big a deal.

Finally, why the ^$%# would Hellbaby/Rebecca go out of their way to help Jonathan/Victoria by using the yield on Freddy/Kendra? I know we missed some alliances/friendships due to editing, but that just seemed very strange.

Great episode. From what I've heard, Ethiopia is a beautiful country, culturally and geographically. This episode seemed to bear that out...has the race been there before? I've had the pleasure of knowing a couple people from there. It's unfortunate that they've had so much tragedy there in recent history due to political strife.

This made no sense to me either. It appears they did it strictly for strategic reasons, but it was not the correct move to make. If anything, they should have used it against Jonathan/Victoria since they were already in last place. That would have almost assured them of not coming in last. At best, all that they could have hoped for was a tie between Freddy/Kendra & Jonathan/Victoria, not a large lead over the last place team, which is all that really matters. The smaller margin of error they created almost caught them in the end, but not even hellgirl's ineptitude could prevent them from moving on to next week.

Boooooo - I'll miss that dysfunctional couple. They made this season so entertaining.

Kendra's racism continues.

I was thinking the same thing at the time. This would have almost assured that the end of the race wouldn't have even been close.

When Victoria started talking to the cab driver in Corsica in a French accent (as if that would make him understand better) I was laughing so hard that I had to pause the show. I also got scolded from my wife for almost waking the baby. And then, a few minutes later, Jonathan did the same thing!

I'm going to miss them.

I hate it when people use an accent w/ their English because they think it will make it easier to understand them. I was laughing, too. Team 1.5 did that a bunch last season. Sometimes it's irritating, but sometimes it's funny.

When the couple from hell were eliminated, I had to stifle a yell because the wife was getting ready to put the baby back to bed. It's hard to keep quiet when I'm so elated.

REbecca's little ex-girlfriend has to be the biggest vagina ever on TV. What a pansy.

I don't get Kendra being considered a racist. Her comments both times about the poor countries were stupid and ignorant, but never did she mention anything about race. She probably just looks down on poor people in general, regardless of race. Now I can understand everyone calling her a bitch. That one is easily understood.

I wondered about that too. I guess the guy is just so annoying and she is so nice she lets the frustration build up until it blows. But I don't see how he was being "abusive," as she called it. And how she said "I NEVER enjoy being with you. NEVER." was a bit harsh.

I don't think anybody really thinks Kendra is a racist per se, it's just that it makes a funny pun, unlike "Amazing Ugly American."

I told my fiance the same thing. He's not abusive - he's MANIPULATIVE. He uses guilt and such to get back into her favor and she is too nice.

Someone needs to send her a copy of The Manipulative Child.

Speaking of the teams in foreign countries, was it addressed how it seemed (especially in one episode) that the producers tried to quell any arguements with cab drivers in mostly the african countries? I noticed the arguements were as heated as they were last season but I noticed in one episode it looked like someone stepped in and interceded when they were being argued with over a fare they probably hiked up.

That's great news, but I'll believe it when I'm watching it. I've seen this show announced for a date, and then delayed, at least twice. Granted, this season's delay was for a good cause, and the ratings have improved immensely, but still...

Yeah, TAPOSTNNBN is gone gone gone!!!

I kept thinking that with the editing, there was going to be some catch and TAPOSTNNBN would reach the pitstop before Rebecca and baby boy. He went crazy near the end. What was up with that?

It was hilarious when TAPOSTNNBN picked up "the guide" and he checked his english by asking him what color the sky was and he said "sun"

Ethiopia is a wonderful country and their cuisine is awesome. Everything you eat with your hands, using this bread like pancake to scoop things up in. Good stuff.

As for ratings...
http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,272_617|93032|1|,00.html

FOX built its lead at 9 p.m. as the first of several "Idol" audition shows rose to a 19.5/28. CBS stayed in second with "The Amazing Race," 6.6/10. ABC moved up to third with "According to Jim," 5.8/9, and "Rodney," 5.0/7. NBC managed only a 4.1/6 with "Scrubs" and "Committed." "High School Reunion" kept The WB in fifth. UPN went with a rerun of "Veronica Mars."
It took a hit, but not a huge one.

I agree, kinda wish they made it to the final 2 (but didn't win of course).
Hopefully the little mama's boy stays in as he's the next source of entertainment.

Did anyone else put money down on Bolo mispronouncing "Nice"? I called my shot as soon as the first clue was read and Bolo came through for me. That joker should read everything on the show. "Follow the trail to...words words words...don't understand...let's go!!!" Maybe he could read a Dr. Seuss book at a Detour.

Love Team Steroid.

Are Kris and Jon Team Saccharine or Team Vanilla?

No kidding - the lovefest over K&J is almost as puke-inducing as their sugary-sweetness. Yeah, they have a great attitude and Kris has great jugs, but they are very very boring to watch.

Kris needs to get some sleep. She is hot as hell, but those bags under her eyes are starting to freak me out.

He was pissed because he walked right past the guys who he was supposed to check to get the clues, and went wandering off who knows where long enough for Freddy and Kendra to finish the yield AND the task.
