just did. there's a recording on it that says "hi you have reached the prop phone that was used on the episode of 24 last night. thank you for watching and have a good night" followed by the usual prompts to leave a message and then the BEEP.

and yet, when it is imperative that the earlier APB on the yellow truck be rescinded and all officers notified - they couldn't get around to it in time to prevent tipping off the terrorist.

Ok I just called again and they answered. Apparently some prop guy. He said they are passing the phone around right now. Of course I had no idea what to say but he did tell me that they are shooting episode 15 right now. I meant to ask if Kim Bauer was gonna be back in the show (hopefully not), but he ended the conversation before I could get that out.

Other people should call and see if they can get some extra info into the season.

zakvta, you absolutely cracked me up with that post about being freaked out and hanging up.

but that's freakin' cool that someone answers the phone!!! I guess its meant as a treat to hard core 24 fans who actually notice a number and bother to call it! that phone must be constantly ringing though.

actually, if they're telling the truth about shooting episode 15, wouldn't that put them in the middle of the night? so the best time to catch people on the set would be to call late at night. who knows, you might catch kiefer!

Sounds like someone on the set is a fan of Scrubs.

Too bad. Scrubs left theirs up a long time. Is it even down now, or did people just get tired of calling?

They gave a real cellphone number on an episode of Gilmore Girls a few months ago. It turned out to be a recorded message from one of the actors asking people to visit an online auction to raise money for charity, pediatric AIDS I think.

Indeed, a pet project of Scott Peterson (Luke).

I'm all for getting rid of those 555 numbers

Not sure if I should start a new thread or post here...

Spoiler:
Haysbert Clocking in for More '24'

Wed Jan 19, 1:22 AM ET Entertainment - Reuters TV

By Nellie Andreeva

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Dennis Haysbert is back on Fox's "24."

After leaving the real-time terrorist thriller last season following his character president David Palmer's dramatic decision not to seek re-election, Haysbert has been tapped to return for the final six episodes this season.

For the past three seasons of "24," Haysbert starred opposite Kiefer Sutherland as a soft-spoken senator-turned-president, a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2003.

"24" has a habit of bringing back characters, especially villains. Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke) and president Palmer's conniving wife, Sherry (Penny Johnson Jerald), both made several comebacks until their demise this past season.

Additionally, Haysbert has landed a role in Sam Mendes' upcoming U.S. Marines feature "Jarhead" for Universal Pictures. He will next will be seen in ABC's limited series "Empire."

Let's hope his character and Jack's character will finally share some screen time together. Great news...espeically the news of WHEN he'll be appearing...meaning he probably plays a major role in the finale.

I just want to make a point I haven't seen anyone bring up yet...

I really like so far how they are utilizing the President in this series. We see him when there's a reason to see him, and all other times it's about Jack and the crisis at hand. I think this is how they should've utilized Palmer in season 3 and in some capacity season 2. That's why his storylines got so out of hand and implausible because they (writers) felt it was neccessary for him to be in every episode and for him to be involved in something major or scandalous.

I really, really like Palmer, but I think the current approach to the President's storyline on this show is much better. Hopefully it doesn't change too much.

I know its a tv show so the part where he holds up the mini mart is suppose to be exciting, but
1) why do they carry masks in there vehicles
2) why not just flatten the guys tires. that should have done the trick, without all the b/s

No need to re-hash the quicky mart scene here.
