Just last week I was flipping around and caught an interview with the original Joe Millionaire or whatever he was called (some broke guy who all the girls thought was a millionaire) and he claimed that he really wanted to pick another girl as the winner, but the producers made him pick someone else. Not only was the reality not reality, the ending was probably determined by a focus group. Bah.

In a way I'm mixed on this. I wanted to see this piece of cow dung fail, but on the other hand it's just reinforcing the networks abandoment of Saturday nights. The networks completely abandoned Saturday nights this season, with not a single original non-reality (AMW/Cops) program airing. Then Clubhouse got moved and died quickly, now this sad waste of film.
You'd think CBS would see this as a horrible show failing, but I'm sure they instead see it as partly due to the night it aired. I miss the days of NBC Saturday Comedies, Dr. Quinn/Early Edition and other various CBS dramas. I'm still pissed over The District getting axed...

The Joe Millionaire thing does not surprise me at all. There was zero chemistry between him and Zora (or whatever her name was). He must have wanted Sarah, the chick that made all of the slurping noises with him in the bushes.
