I liked Mondo's retro design.

I think April's gown was worse that Sweet P's.

I'm hating the Michael Love fest. the Grapefruit dress looked horrid!

Michael's last dress was nothing special, nobody did anything special.

Agreed. They need to stop with the stupid twists and give these people time to design. Six hours is simply not enough time leading to nothing but mediocre designs from all.

The match off was kind of lame, as you ended up in a couple of cases with 2 very good items where one had to lose.

Final four would have been a lot different if it was 8 single looks. Rami would not have been in the bottom at all.

Austin's look was ridiculous. I'm a Kenley fan so I liked hers a lot, very clean and fresh, but also very Kenley.

I was happy that Jerrell won out over Michael - as I still hate him.

And Mondo's look was I thought good and fun. Shouldn't have been in the bottom.

Congrats indeed. I was sure they were giving this to Austin, but I think Mondo is very deserving.

Did a search for PR:AS and it didn't show one for this season. Anyhoo, about Thursday night's ep:

I was very surprised by Josh's winning look. It was great - understated and beautifully done. When I heard the lady say she liked leopard print, I thought it was going to be awful, but he really edited his look and deserved the win.

Anthony Ryan really tanked. His design was AWFUL. As usual, Uli was in the top 2. She has been the most consistent, with some great designs, but for some reason, I see her being the runner-up... I have a feeling that Anthony will win, even considering this week's bomb.

I wanted Josh to win, this challange seemd to realy touch him, and I love that dress, it is something I would wear. Anthony Ryan's dress was horrible, it was like he just tented the fabric, he could have done somthing like Josh did and it would have looked great on his model. I think that everyone was burnt out after the last Project Runway season, don't know if I will watch the new one, when they work as teams.

Project Runway Season 12

I don't remember seeing a thread about this season... the finale was on tonight. Some thoughts...

The season was pretty blah, but out of the final four, I was glad to see Dom win (wouldn't have minded Justin... he had a great collection and was consistently good throughout the season). I loved most of her designs and she seemed like a sweet person and the win should really kick start her career.. now, she can devote her time to her chosen profession, rather than just trying to make ends meet working in unrelated jobs.

I'm just glad the blonde didn't win. Her designs were awful and she was full of her herself. Braden, the final contestant was all over the place... He had some wonderful designs throughout the season and benefited from having an exotic model. His final collection wasn't cohesive at all.

However, they are running Project Runway into the ground. This one just ended tonight and Project Runway All-Stars with Isaac Mizrahi judging starts next week (Alyssa Milano will be hosting... glad they made the change from the previous season's awful host). But they need to take a break... when something is on all the time, it loses its bloom.

Re: Project Runway -- Appreciation Thread

The wait is over as the iconic fashion competition series "Project Runway" returns to its original home on Bravo with supersized 90-minute episodes beginning Thursday, March 14 at 8:00pm ET/PT. This season, as the fashion industry evolves, so does our runway with a new design aesthetic and additions to the judging panel: supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss joins as host with former "Project Runway" champion and celebrated CFDA fashion designer Christian Siriano as the mentor. ELLE Editor-in-Chief Nina Garcia returns as a judge, along with famed fashion designer Brandon Maxwell and journalist and former Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Elaine Welteroth. The new look and feel continues with 16 new designers from across the United States and abroad who will compete for the coveted spot of a lifetime, a chance to show their collection during an exclusive runway show for industry insiders and influencers as well as win the largest cash prize in the show's history. With an all-new runway and workroom furnished with sewing and embroidery machines by Brother, a glam room for the models outfitted by TRESemmé and Maybelline, along with challenges that embrace the nuances of the fashion industry - including flash sales, fast fashion, the inclusion of plus-size models, Instagram, a special Elton John challenge inspired by Paramount Pictures' Rocketman, and so much more. The runway game changes forever beginning now.
