Re: Project Runway - Season 9 - July 28

Missed the last 2 weeks with travelling and/or being out drinking.. So I just saw last nights.

Yup we know, it's not that much of a surprise. Looking forward to it.

Why bother watching? Anya is obviously going to win. Nina, Michael and Heidi all beam with pride whenever Anya is talking.

LOL! Anya wins. I knew she would. This show has really gone down hill. Although I cannot stand Josh, he deserved to win before her.

What's up with the judges saying "Kimberly isn't ready" but Anaya is? What bullshit. Anya and Gretchen should get together to design a collection of granola caftans.

I DVRd the new show Project Accessory (I believe that's the name). Hope that's better.

Re: Project Runway - Season 9 - July 28

I guess that the judges forgot about Uli since Anya's collection was just a poor rehash. Can Anya even make a sleeve? The producers/judges altered the show several times this season to keep Anya alive.

I could also do without all of the back stories regarding dead relatives.

.

Well it kind of made sense to me, as soon as the judges started talking about how they could envision an Anya "brand" ... Anya sheets, accessories, etc...

You can't really say the same about Josh. Just that he's another dime a dozen designers that makes weird stuff.

I am so done with Project Runway, maybe I will fell diffrent next season. I don't see what eveyone sees in Anya, shes not pretty, she looks like a chipmunk, and shes full of shit, but I said that she was a ringer. I liked Vicktors collection best. Like LiquidSky said I will try Project Accessory.

Two things about Project Accessory:

1.) it's WAY too similar to Project runway.
2.) Kenneth Cole is dreamy.

That is all.

Good Read from the tom and lorenzo chaps..

And yeah this was obvious from the last couple of eps that anya was winning it. T&L actually said that Laura had far and away the best collection (the decoy ones always happen)

Old stale news, even when Project Runway started.

Well I had never heard it, but since learning of it this morning I have had the opportunity to review the video. Multiple times. -other-

Well, maybe its time to bid Auf Wiedersehen to Project Runway, and its bastard children. Did any one look at Project Runway: Behind the Seams with Tim Gunn, it was like watching someone hold a gun to his head, I could not even finish it, I know its their way of justifying Anya's win, and Project Accessory is just a hot mess, they have the designers doing to much for each challenge, so everything looks tacky and cheap.

Re: Project Runway - Season 9 - July 28

the change to Lifetime appears to have hurt the show, Tim looks like he's not best pleased with it.

I just watched the finale. I didn't watch every episode this season, but of the ones I watched, I thought Anya was the best. And I liked her collection the best.

Viktor had the best items, and if we were judging on 4 pieces instead of 8 (is it 8?), I thought he had the best pieces. But some of his stuff was awful. I liked Anya's the best and am very glad she won. I guess I have poor fashion sense based on everyone else's comments here. Though the judges did agree with me. :D

Project Runway All Stars

Premiered 1/5/12 Thursday

Surprised there wasn't a thread already about this. Nobody else watching?

The lack of Tim Gunn hurts, and the new host seems pretty bland too. I'll keep watching but so far not so good.

Re: Project Runway All Stars

Tim is really the only one I miss. It doesn't feel like Runway w/o him. The last few seasons of Heidi, Michael, and Nina has made me want a different judging perspective.

Also, I think part of the problem is that this isn't really Project Runway All Stars but rather Project Runway "Who we could Get". I barely remember half of these people.

Didn't realise there was no Tim in this.

I missed Tim, but I was glad to see Mondo, his work just blows me away, he does so much in so little time.

The first episode seemed rushed (probably because there are so many contestants). Still enjoyed watching.

I really liked Mondo and Rami's designs. Austin is already getting on my nerves.

A little LiquidSky trivia: I went dancing at Limelight a couple of times way back in 1983.

I never saw the first season so never saw Austin, but he is a bit over the top, his gown was ok nothing special. I knew Sweet Pea was going home and if April makes one more horrid garment she will be next. What I did not understand is why Rami did not drape his gown, he would have won the challange.

Wolf359 01-14-12 09:45 AM

Re: Project Runway All Stars

I agree Austin's definitely was not the winner. I think Michael C's was far better.

Sweet P's was bad but April's dress was awful too. It looked like she was running through the mud or something...

Absolutely love Kenley so I might have to watch and I have't watched one of these in years.
