Re: "Project Runway" Moving to Lifetime Network

Carol Hannah had the best collection. But Irina had the best body of work throughout the season. Althea totally missed the ball at the end with those dreary looks.

Project Runway 7 January 14

January 14th is the airdate

After waiting for what seemed like a decade for season 6 to premiere, Lifetime isn’t wasting any time in getting the next season of Project Runway to a living room near you. Lifetime has announced that it will be renewing both Project Runway and Models of the Runway for another season. Both shows will premiere on Thursday, January 14, 2010 and will be available for the first time in High Definition!

Project Runway season 7 will be filmed in none other than New York and will return with host Heidi Klum and mentor Tim Gunn. The newest batch of designers will be creating one of a kind looks to impress returning judges Michael Kors, Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia with special guest judges along the way. The season will premiere on January 14 at 10 PM ET/PT on Lifetime.

Immediately following the premiere, the second season of Models of the Runway will air. The thirty-minute installments give a behind the scenes look at the reality competition from the model’s perspective.

Glad it's back in New York. Wasn't feeling LA at all and in fact I tuned out about half way through. Hopefully this one can keep my attention.

I'm just hoping for some judging consistency this time around. They really boxed themselves into a corner in terms of talented designers last year.

Interesting to see some more international flavor among the designers.

Started backup.

I think that

Should have been gone

BDB: Agreed. I don't really see her doing anything too different from what she did last night. Not impressed.

I liked Seth Aaron's punky dress and was happy Emilio won last night's challenge.

I forgot that this started up last night. If I had known, I would have passed on watching a Hawaii Five-O DVD. I'll have to catch one of the many repeats this weekend. Thanks for the heads-up.

I just purchased "Hawaii Five-O" season one. :)

Actually really liked the majority of the dresses shown last night, except the two short dresses in the bottom 3 and Pings. Thought the right one went home...it was a mess all around.

Excited about the talent this year!

It's a great show. However, McGarrett gets on his soap box way too much and the hippie episodes are embarrassing. Chin Ho rules! Sorry for going off-topic.:)

I really don't like the editing of this show by the new producers. Would it kill them to show a quick flash of the winning/losing dress when the designer is announced? There is still so many designers and dresses that I had to run my recording back to learn which was the dress that won or lost since they only showed the designer when they announced it. Frustrating.

Well admittedly there are what 16 people at the start? takes a while to weed some out.

Ping reminded me of the totally out there fella from last season with the egg dress.

Exactly - so when they said Emilio won, I had to actually run the DVR back to see which dress was his. They could have easily edited in a quick shot of the winning dress to make it easier on the viewer. Same with the loser.

I think the old producers of this show did a much better job of editing.

You didn't know which dress was his? Were you distracted while watching the show?

Jadzia 01-15-10 01:48 PM

Re: Project Runway 7 January 14

It is still so early in the season, I don't know who all the designers are yet. So no, I couldn't remember which dress was his until I ran it back. I remembered the dress when they went down the runway and which ones I liked but there is too many to remember who did what yet.

I got tired of all the pop-up advertisements in the bottom right-hand corner. I wonder what's up with Lifetime, Bravo, etc. doing that? Very distracting.

Another ugly design by Ping. She should have received the boot. Perhaps Nina can wear it with her ass hanging out.

Re: Project Runway 7 January 14

Yup - It's like last season all over again. Ping is doing nothing good, she's not even good TV!

This was a phenomenal challenge though. Love what some of them did with the dresses.

I'm rooting for Amy Sarabi and Jay Sario since they work at my company.

Hopefully one of them makes it far.

Re: Project Runway 7 January 14

Bye-bye Ping. God, she was terrible. I know that Lifetime has the Models of the Runway show now, but I am growing tired of listening to these models mouth off. They should keep their pieholes shut and just wear the clothes. If they think that they can do better than the designers, then they should enter the competition as a designer.

Re: Project Runway 7 January 14

Thankfully she only last 3 episodes, she was very very tiresome. And now on with the show.

I think Seth Aaron got dragged down by his team mate yesterday. And obv I'm not a designer, but I didn't dig the winning look. Having said that Michael Kors always loves seperates. And the pants did seem well made.

But can't you just flash back to the museum, with all those high end designs and picture that glorified track suit fitting right in with them? Yeah, me neither.
