All I know is that I'm still chuckling about Tim's monkey house story.

BDB 02-28-08 11:43 AM

Chris should not have told them it was hair, I think it looked great, it really had a shine to it..

no surprise on the final 3. and I think Jillian will win.

LiquidSky 03-05-08 08:38 AM

Here we go! I wonder who will win? Christian, Jillian, or Rami?

SpaceBoy 03-05-08 09:43 AM

I think Jillian will win too...

However I think Chris should be in the final 3 instead of Rami, although I'm a Rami fan. That dress with the safety pins was amazing.... and they both looked "costume-ish" to me.

KirstenS 03-05-08 10:30 AM

I'm hoping for Jillian. She makes clothes that are fun, interesting, fashion forward, and that I would want to wear. I would be happy with Rami too though. I'd love to be able to buy one of his draped dresses. Christian's too "high fashion" for me. His clothes are completely inaccessible. I especially hate the poofy shoulders on just about every jacket and blouse he's made.

magiccmom 03-05-08 01:00 PM

I'm also hoping for Jillian. I'm just afraid she plays it a little to safe. But I think her work is flawless and marketable. Christian has the couture factor, and he is def. a talent. I've liked Rami's stuff throughout the season also. Anyone can take it, but I tend to think it is between Jillian and Christian.

magiccmom 03-05-08 10:46 PM

Quite impressed with the runway finale. Rami's work with the weaving was amazing, and I loved Jillians stuff. Christian stuff was of course over the top, but def. couture. Just cant see anyone but Victoria Beckham wearing it. Whatever, this season was def. fierce!

BDB 03-05-08 11:02 PM

Good Season, would have been happy with Jillian winning, and I do think that Christians while the most couture was the worst of the 3 runway shows.. but having said that at 21 he's one heck of a talent.

Rami's runway show looked great aside from the colours, and the problem with Christian's was that it looked very black at the outset..

All in all as a first time viewer of the entire run, I enjoyed it..

mwbmis 03-06-08 12:50 AM

Not surprised that Christian won. That seems to be the way of the fashion industry. I just think on some level the clothes should be wearable. While he was certainly over the top I just question who would wear it.

While over the course of the season I have been very impressed with Jillian, I thought Rami should have won.

Finisher 03-06-08 03:41 AM

Very strong final three. I think they got it right. When you factor in age, Christian is just on a different level.

LiquidSky 03-06-08 07:20 AM

I liked Rami and Jillian's collections the best. It was nice to see Christian not act so cocky.

Congrats to Christian. I think Posh could really work those fashions.

I agree on all points.

Rami's weave technique on those tops were amazing.

These judges were in love with Christian and he would not be denied. Kudos for winning at 21, he looks like he has a very bright future.

Jillian looked like she could model some of those clothes herself, she had a nice season.

Another great season for Project Runway, I assume the next version will be in the fall sometime?

orderandlaw 03-06-08 10:26 AM

Woohoo Christian!!

I watched the episode twice and got teary-eyed both times. I loved the final 3 contestants.

Jillian definitely more wearable than the rest.

Rami just does great work, and that woven portion was beautiful, as well as the 2nd to last dress.

Christian is over-the-top, and it's a tough debate whether he'll curb that style and try and make more wearable things, or just say f*ck it and do what he wants. At least he knows that he'll always have Victoria Beckham willing to wear his stuff.

"Project Runway" Moving to Lifetime Network

But not without a fight from NBC.

NBC and Bravo aren’t letting “Project Runway” jump to Lifetime without a fight.
Peacock has filed suit in New York Supreme Court against “Project Runway” producer The Weinstein Co., arguing that the shingle denied NBC and its Bravo cabler a right of first refusal for the show.

Three cycles of PR in 2008? If the designers are entertaining, then it might be a good thing.

Trigger 04-08-08 04:56 AM

NBC: *smashes fist on table* "We want first right of refusal, dammit!"

Court: "Granted."

Weinstein Co.: "Ok fine, do you want it?"

NBC: "NO!"

Lifetime: *rolls eyes*

Meredith Baxter Birney: "Oh shit, there goes my airtime."

DRG 04-08-08 02:26 PM

Ugh, Lifetime? I am never going to know when this show comes back on unless someone here posts about it. At least on Bravo there's almost always either Project Runway or Top Chef airing, so when one ends I know when the next one is coming back.

james2025a 04-09-08 12:02 PM

Ok so thats viewing figures for the show down to 8 from whatever it was.

I find the show quite interesting, but it has had its ups and downs. The problem with the last season was that there was very little conflict, and i had a real problem with the bird that got to the final 3 (the one who showed no emotion whatso ever.

Why can't they do a version for mens fashion as well? My father is a bespoke tailor so i know his answer "The clothes take much longer." It could be tried at least.
