Sandy and Troy were not picked because they were not as educated in my opinion. Too bad they couldn't be a part of S3.

I think another one of those NY apartment complex was built in the time this Apprentice special got done.

Why is it that the winner and runner-up are completely ignored after the moment Trump announces the winner? Other than choosing between the two jobs, neither was asked a single question or gave a single comment, and they were on camera a total of maybe 30 secinds between them for the last 45 minutes of the show.

If I remember correctly, the 1st season finale was similar. Almost no comment whatsoever from Bill, not even a "How does it feel to win?" Nothing.

Edit: OK, finally in the limo ride the winner says a sentence or two over the closing credits.

Will Trump and the rest be appearing with them? Nope. Will even 1/10th of the audience that was tuned in tonight tune in? Nope. Is it the same as hearing from them in the moments after the reveal of a months long contest on a live show? Nope.

It is like interviewing coaches from the teams that didn't make the playoffs instead of the winning and losing teams of the Super Bowl on the field moments after the final gun...completely missing the moment. The next day, only fans of the winners care any more. A stupid loss of opportunity on the producer's part.

OK this is kind of Apprentice related. The season 3 contestants, the one at the very end that says "All of us you can relate to" looks EXACTLY like a woman that was on another reality show a while back except she has died her hair black. It was that show on Fox where the contestants were in a spooky town and had to solve a mystery. I think the winner was actually a fireman that died later in the Twin Towers on 9/11. She was really a beyotch and everyone hated her. I was just curious if anyone remembers the show and thought it was her as well.

Anyways... yeah Kelly! I did not like Jen AT ALL!

Man this show made the Oscars seem short.

Still not impressed with Kelly. Jen made more glaring mistakes, and Kelly is probably a better leader if everyone stays on track. But when things go all to hell, Kelly will just sit there and look baffled. Jen actually thrives under pressure, it's during the smooth sailing that she comes across as aimless and lost.

To me Jen just came off as pushy and argumentative when the pressure was applied, especially in the board room. Talking loudly over someone isn't the same thing as out-debating or out-smarting them. That's fine for political shout-shows, but useless for almost anything constructive. I don't understand why Trump fell for that so many times. Or was it just good for the drama maybe? After all, he could have decided the winner in week 1 and we would never know. And speaking of drama, for someone who claimed to look so down upon those who partook in drama and cattiness, Jen sure obsessed about it. Kelly seemed quietly efficient, and didn't grandstand. That's not the same thing as being baffled. Just because you're not anxiously pacing or bellowing doesn't mean you're not handling pressure. In fact, quite the opposite.

I think the most telling thing in the end was that the business leaders, CEOs, etc., were universal in their support for Kelly. These people were face to face with these folks in an actual formal business like situation (interviews) without any grandstanding or an opponent shouting over their interaction. The person they would prefer most to keep around in the real world was unanimous.

Anyway, it was pretty clear who came from a business/military background and who came from a law firm.

Three hours is just too long. I watched all season, but skipped it tonight.

Not a big surprise that Kelly won. I thought him and Kevin were the only 2 that had a really good shot at winning after the first few tasks. As soon as Kevin was gone, I thought it was all Kelly's to win

A poster in the earlier portion of this thread called Kelly's military experience BS. What the hell is that supposed to mean? It's not BS, it's a much-coveted, highly respected background that most bosses, when hiring a candidate, look upon with admiration for the many positive aspects that are derived from being trained in the upper ranks of the military. Kelly's military background was a huge advantage. Trump's questioning seemed more of a psychological hotbutton designed for Kelly's responsive defense. It's not BS when almost every interviewer for Trump underlined and accentuated the importance of it.

I guess we differ on that.. Because I never heard a winning/losing coach or player say anything of any value. they say the same thing everytime

Agreed. I wonder how Jen is in the courtroom? I'm a Paralegal and have assisted in many trials. The best attorney I have worked with and who I learned the most from is very intelligent/tough but she is also subtle in her approach. I find the theatrics/grand-standing/shouting/sighing/eye-rolling of opposing counsel ridiculous. This type of behavior in a courtroom usually alienates the Judge and the jury.

When I went to bed last night, I was a little concerned when I saw that no one had really ripped on Jen at all yet, now I am relieved. She clearly was only good at being one thing, a "DEFENSE" lawyer, so of course she could defend herself in the boardroom. When it came down to it throughout the show she was not that good at all, and truly flew under the radar. More importantly I could not stop laughing when she said she had "integrity" and kept repeating this to Trump like as if Kelly did not have it. Gee, does someone with any bit of integrity take credit for someone else's idea. They even replayed the jean episode moment when they tried to highlight Jen's greatest moments when she was given praise right in front of Trump from the Levi's president. Everyone else remember how "smart" this Harvard/Princeton grad was when Ivana was explaining the concept of the jean wheel. If there was ever a person to help prolong the stereotype of "dumb blonde" who else has? She may be "intelligent" but lacks any common sense whatsoever, and that is also very important. And since I did not remember what Kelly did in the military, the second they said he was an Airborne Ranger I definitely knew he was cut out from Trump even though I thought he was a slam dunk for the job last week before almost everyone else affirmed it in the audience.

What was up with Trump's COO who couldn't even speak - it was like he was getting choked up after he said "Well, Donald, you know I do not like Jen at all..." then they had some weird cuts, and then he just sits down.

FWIW, I think Kelly was the best choice. Jen is just a bitch, and she skirted by the entire time, flying under the radar, never taking on important tasks. She's rude, she interrupts, she's snappy. Just worthless. I'm sure she skirts by in her law practice as well.

While I agree with you, who knows if she is even a litigator. She might be stuck in some office drafting wills all day, etc. But, if she is a litigator, I am positive that judges would find all those theatrics you described as very unprofessional. She addressed Trump and George as if they were her equals - Kelly spoke very respectfully, and I am sure that was one of the factors in hiring him --- he has a respect for authority.

P.S. Which did he take --- NY or Las Vegas? I would've jumped on the NYC thing in a heartbeat --- there is not a comparison b/w NYC and Las Vegas. Yuck.
