Desperate Housewives -- "Guilty" 11.28.2004

"Guilty"

The residents of Wisteria Lane take stock of their lives after tragedy; Susan grows suspicious of Mike's reasons for moving to the neighborhood; Lynette reaches the breaking point in her addition to the twins' medication.
Enjoy every minute of this one kiddies. Next week it's pre-empted.

Oh, and if you don't mind speculation, check over HERE and vote.

How long will it be until we get a new one after this week? I am willing to bet it most likely won't be until mid to late January.
We might get one to tease us in December, but networks tend to avoid putting out any new material until after the holiday season.

Also, is it true this is slated for only a 13 episode run?

Most new shows only get a 13 run tryout at the beginning.

Susan tells her daughter that she is going to have sex with Mike? WTF? I know that they have a good relationship, but I found that really odd.

Didn't Alias get 22 from the start? Can they make more this year if they decide to do so?

Dang! That Andrew is one spoiled S.O.B. !!!

Indeed. Very few shows get full season pickups at the start, if any. Shows that have been picked up for the full season order this year include this one, Lost, Joey, and Jack and Bobby.

I was just getting ready to post the same exact thing. This show needs a Red Foreman special guest appearance.

Looks like Rex is going to kill Mrs Huber at this point, meaning it probably won't happen.

How could Susan buy that BS explanation from Mike? Fine about the gun, but the wads of money he had?

I missed the pilot, was it Mary Alice in Lynette's dreams?

Mrs. Huber? That's uneventful.

The ending really had me thinking that we would get a twist and it would be Susan.
I guess the actress who plays her will be on Good Morning America, but I doubt she'll reveal anything major as she wasn't a major character.

My theory: Dana is a baby that got aborted.

I think that abortion is not what happened. Why have a baby blanket with the name of it if she was aborted?

Andrew needs to be kneed in the nuts so he can't spawn because he is the devil.

Mrs. Huber's demise was telegraphed way too early, so whatever build-up didn't really pack a punch. Had ABC not marketed the episode to promote the offing of one of the DHs, the death would have been much more shocking.

While abortion carries a certain stigma with it, there is certainly nothing illegal about it. No, my friends, this will be something much darker than that.

And can I just say, damn this is a good show! I was on the edge of my seat for the last 15 minutes. I know this might sound crazy, but I am finding myself looking forward to DH even moreso than Lost. Crazy, huh?

The Mike and Susan subplot was a little clumsily executed.

Lynette's breakdown, and visions of MA seemed to just pander into the DH demographic that lives this stressful multi-child life everyday.

And can we all give a collective "welcome back" to ABC? You bring the quality this season. I love you for Alias, and now DH and Lost? Oh, you are TOO good to me ABC!

Okay, what the hell could have happened with Dana and why didn't anybody know about her?

Since this show has a tendency to let its storylines intersect, I think that Carlos will be just about to figure out the connection between Gabriele and the gardener and then somehow it will get back to him that Andrew hit his mother. Carlos will then have it in for Andrew and the only way to get him out of harms way is for Gabriele to admit that she is responsible for the mother being hit in the first place. Think about it. Gabriele and Bree seem to be waging a silent war already, and this could push them over the edge. I just hope nobody says anything until after Carlos pounds Andrew into a bloody pulp!

Oh man, that's exactly what I was thinking while watching, that it was tailored especially for the main demo. Kids aren't born demons, they learn that through parental permissiveness.

Has it ever been established how long each of the families have been living on Wisteria Lane? My guess is that Dana died as a result of an accident caused by Mary Alice's son, and Mary Alice covered it up. I still believe this happened a long time ago, as no one else knows about Dana. I assume Mrs Huber may have just done some more digging... I still don't think it was Dana's body in the trunk, but I guess we'll have to wait and see on that.

The cross-cutting of Susan and Mike gettin' it on with Mrs. Huber getting strangled drained any sexiness out of the former, and made the latter less intense. Very strange technique.
