24....let me sing your praises

OMG!!! I just got done watching Season 2 of 24(I finsihed the whole thing in a weeks time) all I have to say is, how do they do it? They continually keep me on the edge of my seat every frickin' hour. Keifer Sutherland is PERFECT, there literally nobody who could play this part better than him. Carlos Bernard is PERFECT as Tony Almeida. I could go on and on with the Phenomenal casting.....Dennis Haysbert as President David Palmer and his wife Sherry(who I still don't trust). I love love Michelle as well and thought she was a great addition to the group. There was one girl I just wish had died(the one who had beef with Michelle...I hated that chick).
I sure hope 24 gets some much needed priase come Emmy time, because Keifer definetly deserves Best Actor, along with the Show(Best Drama).
I am planning on getting Season 3 now for Christmas, and I am looking forward to a new day.

Does anyone know(I have heard rumours) that my three favorite characters won't even be in Season4.....what the hell?

I am hering No Dennis Haysbert.....OH HELL NO....He's the man, you gotta have him

No Tony Almeida....See above

No Kim BAUER.....

Please tell me this is just a sick rumour!!!!

You could rip politicians, religion, and everything else on this board...

...BUT if you even hint at the fact that you LIKE Kim Bauer...your freaking dead here.

Once you've seen season 3, you will understand. I mean time passes between each season. Palmer can't remain president forever. Nor can all these characters stay in these crunch positions. Looking back now, Season 3 really does change everything.

If you expect to get this for Christmas, you're going to have to have another 24 marathon. If you get it all watched, you can be up to speed when season 4 starts up on Sunday, January 9th!

I had a simular experience towards the end of last year. I had heard good things about 24 but didnt start watching it until my friend loaned me the first season box set. Boy did I become addicted, staying up late hours and getting up before work to see what happens next. The same thing happened with the second season which I got for Christmas last year. I became a 24 addict.

As far as Kim Bauer goes, Ugggh. Boy was she annoying.

I was in another room at the time but all of a sudden I heard that familiar BEEP BOOM.. BEEP BOOM... BEEP BOOM from the TV. I can't wait for the new season! Looking forward to the new faces too.

I just saw the commercial for the 2-hour season premier. Technically, then, shouldn't it be "48"?

j/k

Last I read, Tony and Kim will make appearances. They just won't be major characters.

I just wish ass-kicking Michelle would be back.

Don't forget there is a 10-12 minute mini episode teaser for season 4 on the Season 3 box set.

Any real fan of 24 would hope Kim Baur dies a horrible death during the new season.

No, a true fan hopes she will get kidnapped or taken hostage.

Season 2 Cougar shit was lame.

But saying this from an inside source.... Season 4 will blow your fuck'n mind.

As for dalvins threads. I figured he would be to busy with boys II men concerts to attend to. And a weeks time? Sorry, but there are folks here who have finished it in a days time going straight through from beginning to end.

You really liked the way the whole storyline was resolved over a wire? And the Vice President subplot?

Season one's shining moment was the first 13 hours with Gaines, then the show started to unravel. Ditto with season two after hour 14 (post-nuke).

24 is OK, but Spooks (called MI-5 here in the US) is better - or at least it was before series 3, in which several of the show's main actors are leaving, so the storylines are taking a hit so as it fit their departures. You can find series 1 & 2 on DVD from Amazon.uk and series 3 "in the usual places".

It also returns to the airwaves here on January 8th on A&E (the day before the 24 premiere). Beware that the show is a BBC production (and thus has no commercials) and that the US version cuts around 15 minutes from the show to allow for ads.
