This sentence made no sense to me, so I'm going to make one up that does: These people that complain about events in the show when it's all a set-up are morons when they laugh at the fake taxi scene.

I didn't see any complaining about anything, just enjoyment about the taxi scene.

Glad to see Maria go. Does Maria have some sort of eye disease? I've never see someone blink so much.

You guys loving the Taxi all realize it's not real right?

Now I see why reality TV is so popular, people actual think it's all real.
What kind of impression do you think comments like this make? That you think the people who watch this show are intelligent people? That clearly wasn't apparent in your lecture on the reality of reality tv.

And I'm still lost as to how anyone who commented on liking the obviously uncomfortable taxi scene clearly thought it was "real." I guess because you clearly didn't even see the episode, you wouldn't know why people liked the scene or thought it was "priceless."

Okay you're right, I apologize. I'll replace that with a more accurate statement.

Back to the topic at hand, anyone else rooting for Andy now after that great comment when Trump (or was it Bill?) tried to put him under fire in the board room?

Since several people gave that reaction, as you took the time to quote, I thought it was quite funny since it shows, to me, I guess not to one who watched the show, that clearly people fall for this stuff, because if you know it's fake, & that they don't actuall go anwhere except around the block & that it happens on a different day usally, then all the reason it would be "priceless" are now void. But since people think it's real, then several here & I'm sure millions watching got a kick out of seeing what they think, are to people who just got fired together, minutes later having to share a long awkard cab together to the airport or wherever there destination is.

Um it was a good scene. If I watch the movie Collateral and say that was a good scene with the black guy and the silver haired killer, does that mean I believe its real? Every comment made could easily be applied to a fictional film, in fact i bet similar comments have been made about many fictional things on this board.

The fact that people called it the "taxi scene" indicates people don't think this is reality. It was a good scene...the situation worked. Who cares if it was scripted or not, I'm not sure what that has to do with enjoying the show. Nothing in there indicates people think it's completely real, so I think you're reading stuff that ain't there.

Otherwise, good episode though. Glad to see both of them fired, as they both deserved it.

Andy smiled when Trump agreed with him cuz he knew that he just pulled that statement out of his butt.

He was smart to stay quiet and let all the blame get placed on Maria & Wes.

ITA about Andy's comment, took him more restraint than I thought he had to not comically wipe his forehead and go "PHEW!!"

Speaking of restraint, I was going to mock/respond to Sessa17's comments, but you all did such a great job, I couldn't top it. I doff my chapeau to you all. Besides, I hate to encourage blatant threadcrappers like him: "I don't watch the show, but I'm going to read this thread and belittle your reactions"

I got a little pissed at trump when he said that Andy had to 'step up' in the following weeks...didn't he just win a couple of weeks ago with the NYPD promotion challenge?

Rooting for him and sweaty kevin to make it to the final two.

Trump's shameless attempts at trying to increase ratings are starting to turn me, off...but he's just so bizarre that i keep watching.

oh, the irony in bolding the word clearly, making the word even more opaque.

When Melania turned around while modeling those jeans, I could only think of one thing:

Spoiler:
two-finger gap

Restraint? You start out by saying you are NOT going to mock/respond to me then you spend a paragraph doing so? And I've been a member of this forum longer than a majority of the people here & have no history of being a "blatant threadcrapper". I made one little comment that I never meant or even thought would be taken seriously, yet I am shocked by how serious & especially insecure you guys are that watch this stuff so you must know there is something wrong with it, otherwise I would have been ignored & not replied to over & over & over. When I post threads & people make wise-ass remarks, as this forum is filled with, I just ignore them, big deal.

If you enjoy this stuff it's O.K. people, you all don't have to feel so bad for watching it. Plus I get a kick out of how serious you all take it. Like I said, there is a reason this stuff is so popular.

This completely misses my point, that is a movie, it's not trying to pass itself off as reality. It's the name of the freakin genre "reality" TV, it's success depends on people buying into it being real.

Dear dear dear 17-year-old Sessa, if I cared enough to mock you (one tiny paragraph notwithstanding), you'd be in tears right now. But, I don't.

Do us all a favor: if you don't want to talk about the show, instead of 1)pointing out the OBVIOUS, or 2)making smugly-superior-SOUNDING comments about the people who watch this show, perhaps you should go elsewhere. CLEARLY people here are overwhelmingly telling you that your comments sound mocking (you say you're not mocking anyone, but if EVERYONE believes otherwise, you're missing your mark), that they knew the "scene" in the taxi was staged, and that they don't care, because it was still funny. Your tiresome "Boy you people take this too seriously" is almost sad, because clearly you so hate being mocked, that you defend yourself instead of moving on.

Moving on now, back to the show...

This is too good kiddo, you are actually trying to act tough through an internet message board & I'm the one that is 17? You aren't thick skinned enough to take criticism of a mindless TV genre you watch, & your posts read like you are in tears b/c I made fun of it, & again CLEARLY I touched a soft spot in you since you can't let it go. So maybe you should do some growing up yourself & at least be secure in the things you like before you start making threats like a little kid in a schoolyard. All I did was make some comments about a TV show, I never threatened anyone.

]Do us all a favor: if you don't want to talk about the show, instead of 1)pointing out the OBVIOUS, or 2)making smugly-superior-SOUNDING comments about the people who watch this show, perhaps you should go elsewhere.
My first post was about the show, the thread is FULL of people pointing out the obvious. B/c you are sensitive sally, & the post was dispariging to the show, I'm not suppose to give my opinion. It was an innocent post, sarcastic yes, but b.c you people are SOOO defensive about watching this stupid show, you can't just drop it.

CLEARLY people here are overwhelmingly telling you that your comments sound mocking (you say you're not mocking anyone, but if EVERYONE believes otherwise, you're missing your mark),
I never said I wasn't being sarcastic, DVD TALK is FULL of sarcastic posts, but I never called anyone any names (people here said I did), I never threatened anyone (you have), so give me a break. You guys are WAYYYY to sensitive about this. BIG freakin' deal, I think reality TV is mindless & you guys that analyze it are funny, grow up & get over. I watch tons of stupid things that I'm sure others thing I'm a moron for watching, I could give 2 shits. The only reason this entire debate keeps going on, is b/c people like you are so hung up on what I think.

Your tiresome "Boy you people take this too seriously" is almost sad, because clearly you so hate being mocked, that you defend yourself instead of moving on.

Dude, you make NO sense, you cap off a lengthy post that you spent time on as if you merely moving on, & then this is even better, you ACTUALLY GO BACK & EDIT? You spend yet another post DOING THE EXACT SAME THING YOU ACCUSE ME OF, sayinig I'm sad b/c of it, what does that make you? I'm so obviously under your skin, b/c I made fun of a freakin reality show, it's way to funny to stop as long as you keep making this contradictory replies

Finally, Maria can stop annoying me. Wes should have been fired due to his lack of just simply having the ability to take control of any situation, he tried to please too much. As a project manager, you have a job to accomplish and that job isn't to necessarily appease everyone (very few in fact).

Andy is now officially off of my cast off list, he's been showing some thoughtfulness lately vs. spouting off so much.

I may keep watching, no one is really impressing me for the final 2 anymore.

Now I see why reality TV is so popular, people actual think it's all real.
Since all the off-topic posts started by the above one, I just want to understand why "They don't actual(ly) go in a Taxi together anywhere."? Apparently they both got into the same taxi to record their interviews, even if it didn't happen right after their firing in real time. All these "reality" shows on TV are mainly about casting and editing, and the more appropriate name is called "unscripted" shows.

Just because the scenes broadcast aren't shot in a continuous time-line don't change the underlying results of what actually happened.

My real problem with this season is their sub-par casting and Donald Trump's earlier decisions, editing is the least to worry about.

Guys, this thread is getting out of control and I do not want to have to close it. Debating the show is one thing, but this personal bickering needs to stop now. Any further off-topic posts will be deleted.

Sessa17, I think you have expressed your opinions about the show and your dislike for the reality TV genre in general. You should probably now just let this go, since your continued comments in this thread about a show you do not watch is considered threadcrapping.

Let's all just take a deep breath here and only post about the show itself.

Thanks, Jadzia.

I too was glad Maria and Wes got fired. No butt shots for the jeans, what was she thinking. When she was blinking and about to cry ("I'm not a control freak") I though she was going to blow a circuit, a la the Stepford Wives.

Wes was so weak, ridiculous. He should have fired her himself and got on with it.

Agreed. Maria acted like a complete control freak/bitch and then cried when people called her on it.

Yes, thanks Jazdia.

Yeah I agree, this firing was a no-brainer, but I'm still kind of surprised this was the ep where he fired two people... wonder if that was planned all along (I can't believe this was the ONE task where he was like, "Yeah, I'd planned to fire only one, but they pushed me beyond my limit!" ).
