Smallville - 11/10/04

Putting aside all of the eye candy factor, it's pretty sad how far this show has fallen in quality, especially this season.
It seems as of late that the writers are reducing the stories to 'sex stories' in order to bring in more viewers. While I have no problem with 'sex stories' in series (The O.C., North Shore, etc.) it really seems out of place here on Smallville.

So we've had Evil Clark, Evil Pete, Evil Lana, Evil Jason, Evil Lois, Evil Chloe....are we ever going to see Evil Lex?
Breaking the scissors on Clark's hair was a nice touch, but it begs the question - how have the Kents been cutting Clark's hair all these years?

I also wonder how strong lana is. I'm thinking she'd get hurt before the scissors broke

Clark wielding the shotgun was classic too. As soon as I saw it I was like what the heck is that, is Clark packing heat? Clark: "Break yo'self punkass #(%@*!"

I think I recall them doing the heat-vision off mirror shaving in Lois & Clark too... It's been a while since I've watched an episode of that though. (looking forward to the DVDs)

This show needs lois on a permanent basis. They should have left her in high school for the year. I think this has been smallville's best season. Not so much monster of the week and more adult.

This ep had its moments, but it was just too cheesy for me. Combining an idea that's "out there" for the Smallville universe with another campfest made this a bit too over-the-top. I wuill admit Bad Lana was enjoyable, but if they have to resort to that to make her interesting...
On the flip side, I love Lois but she was completely wasted here. Plus she just seemed "off" in this ep. I can't decide if Erica just doesn't have the acting range or if the writers felt the need to 'Lois up' the character, but she really didn't feel like a centuries-old witch to me. She just seemed like a dumbed down Lois. I want my Lois all or nothing!

Lana just needs the prude fucked outta her.
Lois just needs to be a regular.

Not a bad episode, Clark knows he can fly but cant do it. What I want is for him to discover his "cold air" breath. Also, normally when metal objects hit clark they shatter, why did he use heat to destroy the objects lana threw at him, why not let them shatter.

And yes, we never need to see Clark dance around in his boxers ever again. That's one super-power that needs to be held in check.
I enjoyed it.

I'm awaiting the Legion! Show Clark the way! Show him his future!
