I'm referring to the fact that he broke up with Heather Graham a few years ago. Did you see how hot she looked on that bed in the lingerie?

Like I said before, Heath Ledger is an idiot!

Dr. Cox to Dr. Kelso: "Since you don't listen to anything anyone says anymore, my reply to your question is that I think you are a jerk and I look forward to your death."

I was laughing so hard we had to rewind to hear Kelso's reply.

Great Episode.

I thought so too, but rewound that part and saw it said Empire State something or other.

I just love this show...it's so great on so many levels. I didn't much like Molly making JD ask Elliott for permission, though, and Elliott was just plain mean. I realize she has partly been turned into a "stand up for herself" kinda gal, but sometimes they overdo it.

Yes it is. She was signed up for an 8 episode story arc. While she may return for a one episode story (unlikely as Michael J. Fox, Heather Locklear have never returned either), the character is pretty much wrapped up.

I was glad to see Christa Miller even if only briefly. I want that character back in the storylines a little more.

Great episode!

I didn't know that Michael J Fox and Heather Locklear were on Scrubs! (I just started watching Scrubs this season) Which seasons?

Is Scrubs out on DVD yet?

Nope - something about doing a certain # of episodes for syndication rights before releasing to DVD.

Locklear (Julie Keaton) was season 2.
Fox (Dr. Kevin Casey) was season 3.
There are several recurring characters like J.D.'s brother (Thomas Cavanagh), Danni Sullivan (Jordan's sister - Tara Reid) and Ben Sullivan (Jordan's brother - Brendan Frasier through season 3).

EXCELLENT episode all the way through.

best lines for me:

"it's been FOUR years! How do you not get how this works?"
"I just saw the cutest interracial gay couple"
the hottest people at the hospital, kelso's insistence on calling Turk Turkleton... all good. and what did turk use to slide down the wire? his hands?

on minor gripe, and this has happened on lots of shows:

WHY DIDN'T JD READ THE NOTE?!?!? it's not like it was in a sealed envelope. it was on a folded piece of paper. he went through all that adventuring and never looked at it? Now i realize it wouldn't have advanced the plot if he had, but that just bugged me.

i didn't know braff directed this one. it was very good.

that Molly is gone.

Elliott as a mad evil genius

What did Turk use to slide down the line?

On again/off again according to the rags.

He was with Heather Graham before Naomi.

And Naomi is NO Heather Graham.

For those looking for a Garden State connection, I think the girl talking to JD at the bar at the beginning is the spin the bottle chick from Garden State.

I've been watching S1 and S2 episodes lately and I think they are all at the same level of comedy. Some are better than others, but I always laugh my ass off at 2 or 3 things in every episode, guaranteed.

Scrubs has been funny from the get-go, it's just taken some people a while to give it a shot. I think Season 1 was pretty good because it explored the newbie-ness of JD and Elliot and company.

Where are you watching them? Is a network running Scrubs in syndication already?

the whole JD/Elliot thing is starting to get a little drawn out.. I feel like it is only a matter of time (maybe a few episodes, maybe a few seasons) tilll JD and Elliot get back together AGAIN.. They've gone to the well too many times with that one

Pretty funny episode, but didn't like the end with Molly Shannon's character. The revelation was way too obvious and kind of cliched and pandering in a way "Scrubs" usually isn't, even when it does the more sentimental endings (I'm thinking of the last Brendan Fraser ep which worked so well at that kind of twist).
