It always bothered me that they are meant to be together, but she's going to outlive him by at least 200 years.
It's not genetic. The translator microbes are what bestow long life.

Didn't he get those in the first ep?

I didn't get to start this until this weekend, so I'm a little late to the game.

Part 2 started to drag a bit for me in the first hour, but all-in-all it was a great mini-series. Several great John pop-culture references.

What episode was this stated in? I don't remember them ever saying this.

The lifespan isn't given by the microbes. For example, in Jeremiah Crichton, Aeryn had already aged 100 years and was an old women. But when John aged 75 years, he had already caught up to Aeryn age wise.

Johns lifespan may get extended 25 years or so, but it'd be because of better space health care. He doesn't have a chance at 300.

Rockne O'Bannon, the creator of Farscape, wrote a short story after Farscape that takes place towards the end of Crichton's life, where he stated it. But then, O'Bannon contradicted himself in the miniseries (in the story, their son's name had the initials JT), so take that for what it's worth. I forgot about the old age episode.

I just got home from a vacation and this is the first thing I watched after getting settled. Wow!
I was surprised how emotional I got during some scenes. Half because, well there was some emotional stuff but also because I sure do miss these characters and what happends to them.
Alittle caught off guard by the two major deaths.
So why did the Idallons fire at John and Aeryn at the original series end? Did I miss something?
I read it got pretty good ratings, hopefully we will be seeing more of these characters and D'argo too.

Idallons were a bunch of paranoid xenophobes who though John and Aeryn were intruding on their turf.

Ben says he would like to see the day to day like of A & J + baby. He wants a movie or several mini-series like they did with 'Alien Nation' after it went off the air.

Wow! I just finished the Peacekeeper Wars after starting the series in March of 2005 with the first three Starburst editions. Farscape is, handsdown, one of my top three shows ever with Battlestar Galactica and Buffy. I am really sad to be done with the series. I agree with the Search for D'argo comments above. I was thinking (praying) the same thing as I watched the show. Kind of makes me nervous for Battlestar...

I am also really surprised by how short this thread is.

I was like, "Wow, when did I post this thread?", thinking maybe I was drunk posting. Holy thread resurrection.
