My wife translated what the Korean woman said to the guy from Oz:
"I'll do a good watch for your son"
and
"Don't run anywhere far, your dad will be ok"

nothing much in the first 5 minutes,
This episode confused me... it was too different from the others... especially the end with Kate and the doc, what was up with that. (seeing things). The real ending was very interesting though, opens up more possibilities. Odd how the tv showed the preview for next week with another 7-8 minutes left, confusing as heck.

I absolutely LOVE this show. Fucking commercials really screw up the flow of this show. I haven't been watching in HD because I couldn't stand the fucking commercials. I just got my Comcast DVR Monday. The first thing I set up was this. Looks great in HD and I get to FF the bullshit

I didn't really like the ending. It seems to be leading us in the direction that some people had posted in the first thread, which is not a good thing to me.
Still, I love this show

TPS Reports! I had to explain to my wife why I was laughing at that joke.
Agree about the commercials, I previously complained about the frequency of commercial breaks. Now I'm complaining about ruining the flow of the show.
Question about the ending:
But, I am a little concerned about where this might be headed

Best.
Episode.
Ever.
(yet).
I like that Locke isn't a 'bad-ass straight from the fires of hell', but quite possibly, a bad-ass in the making. Certainly I wasn't the only one who teared up a bit at the ending.
I do think however that he didn't kill the boar. The big thing killed the boar, Locke just drug it back to camp.
We already know, with the pilot, that the big thing doesn't eat what it kills.

What? No posts yet b.s.-ing that they figured out Locke's secret in the first episode?
The amount of ass this show kicks is reaching historical proportions!
What kind of a scumbag was Locke's supervisor, busting the chops of someone in a wheelchair?
Harold Perrineau goes into the woods and gets gored by a wild boar. The last time I saw him in the woods was on the business end of a grizzly bear in The Edge. He didn't do so well there either.
Why did they have to burn the fuselage too? It could've been used for shelter after the bodies were removed.
Despite the lack of food, no one even broached the subject of dining on the dearly departed.
What did Locke see, and why didn't he admit it?

I think JJ Abrams was going for a Shyamalan reveal at the end with Locke's miraculous recovery from being wheelchair bound. You'd think 4 years would have some atrophy set in which would make it tough to walk even if the condition was relieved by the fall from the sky and numerous jolts from the landing.
The TPS reports comment was just a little too cute.

God damn that was good tv.
Locke ruled. I was worried that they would have turned him insane, but man did they make him one badass mofo.

This is the first episode I've seen of the show. Pretty good but I really need to catch up with the 3 episodes I've missed.
I wonder what happens when this monster is discovered. That seems to be a big draw for the show.
I'd laugh if it was King Kong.
