Tee hee hee.

Everyone keeps talking about Nicolette, but I think Teri Hatcher looked a LOT better. It seems to me Nicolette may have had some bad plastic surgery or something...she kinda looked like Stifler's Mom.

I looked forward to this series ever since I saw a preview of it on Bravo or some other channel a while back. It lived up to my expectations and I will have to keep watching. Of course, being up against Jack and Bobby means I have to tape one and watch the other. And with Boston Legal back on Sunday and Arrested Development should be back soon so this makes for the first Sunday night line up since the days of season seven of X Files that I feel there is must see TV on Sunday night again.

I thought the show was great. It had me from the very beginning when it showed how the neighbor looked on the bright side (the scene with the blender).

I also thought it was funny, as someone mentioned earlier, that the dead woman in this show is the same actress as the dead woman on Everwood.

I will be definitely be tuning in to this one next week. Hope it can keep up this high quality.

Of the new shows I've seen so far I liked Lost better than this. This was ok, but the only thing that has me hooked so far are all the hot housewives. It was funny at times, but I'm not a fan of comedies that are about people being miserable (Meet the Parents is my best example).

Good news, it won its timeslot by a wide margin.

ABC grabbed first for the 9 p.m. hour as "Desperate Housewives" burst onto the scene with an unexpectedly impressive 13.4/20 premiere, by far the night's most watched program. The first hour of CBS' "Suburban Madness" made only a ripple with a 7.7/12, still edging the 7.2/11 for NBC's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." FOX stayed fourth with its movie. On The WB, the recently renewed "Jack & Bobby" did only a 1.6/2 for the night.
Not good news for NBC. If this keeps up SVU will be the only Law & Order show winning it's timeslot.

Wife and i checked this out and enjoyed it quite a bit.....and i'm not ashamed to admit recognizing the gardner kid as Miguel from Passions (i was living in Flagstaff the summer it debuted and got exactly one channel on my tv, and this happened to be on during my lunch hour.....honestly, i swear!)

Will definatly continue to tune it for this....although i wonder if maybe Teri Hatcher's ass is what's buried in the pool.....because she doesn't have one anymore.

hmmm....interesting. now the question is what happens to Alias when it comes back in January? since this performed better than Alias ever did in that slot, i'm guessing they'll move Alias to another night.

I really enjoyed the show. Great cast and great dialogue and a few mysteries. I'll be watching.
I am curious to see if a mainstream audience grasps the show. It's not your typical Drama show.

Like that Jesse Metcalf (Gardner Boy).

I barely recognized Nicolette Sheridan
I wouldnt say it was an ugly bomb just stretched face.

I'm glad she mowed the lawn because i want to see more of that sexy body of Eva's. She's a latin sensation, and she was stunningly hot in the show.

This show was suprisingly good and has managed to make every character's family story rather interesting. It all ties together to make a really good show.

GOOOOOOOOOOO EVAAA

I forgot to mention that the yard boy also got recasted from the original pilot. The original yard boy John had blonde hair, but now the yard board is a guy of latino descent with dark hair.

What's this original pilot that is being referred to?

I thought this premiere was great! I loved all the characters and looking forward to this mystery. The lawn mowing scene was hilarious.

I've had to give up Jack & Bobby (at least on the bedroom ReplayTV) in favor of this show.

Everyone is looking so much older than the last time that I saw them on a TV show, but the guy from Melrose Place doesn't look to have aged much at all.

Was the original pilot completely reshot? Or just the scenes with the two replaced actors?

It's funny to see Marcia Cross playing that character. Does anyone else remember on Melrose Place when her character took on the personality of "Betsy?" This new character is VERY similar to Betsy!

Just those scenes. Happens all the time. I've a collection of unaired pilots with members of the cast who've been replaced once they went to air. Interesting to see the differences.

Enjoyed the show and will continue to be tuning in. Cross looks to be having a ball with this role and Hatcher looked fantastic. This and Lost are welcome additions to my viewing schedule.

Nobody plays a better TV psychopath than Marcia Cross.

Some great one-liners in this show.

I guess I'll watch Jack & Bobby and tape this show.

I think Desperate Housewives is a 10 p.m. show, the only reason it's not I guess is because the legal show with James Spader had partial nudity.

I thought I remembered hearing this was a short "miniseries" of sorts that would run until Alias came back in January. But I could be completely wrong, that may have been someones speculation.

Too bad Boston Legal's nudity was of Larry Miller's bare ass!

My favorite part of the show, apart from the gorgeous woman mowing her yard in the evening gown, was when Cross's husband said he wanted a divorce in the restaurant. And maybe when her son went off on her at dinner because he wanted "food".

And how can you not like Teri Hatcher?

Teri's bod is just weird looking to me now, too skinny and boney.

Sela Ward was offered a role on the show, but turned it down to spend more time with her family. I wonder which of the ladies she would have played.

Isn't the lawn guy from Smallville? He played the sniper.

If the success of the show has staying power, I think Alias will be moving to Mondays, with football being over.

I think this show is only scheduled for twelve episodes this season, thus leaving room for Alias. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that being true. The first story arc, dealing with the mystery of the suicide housewives is supposed to last twelve episodes.

It is for 12 episodes or 13 I can't remember, then Alias starts.

I had high expectations for this and was not disappointed. Marcia Cross is fantastic - she really plays the psychos well.

And we now have a new lady at the top of Red Dog's Hottest Women-on-Primetime list (surpassing Jacqueline Obradors): Eva Longoria. I already was familiar with her 'work' from L.A. Dragnet, but wow. Reminds me of a stripper from Olympic Garden I donated some money to this past weekend.

Great episode. I didn't recognize Sheridan in the pilot. She has aged!

And I thought it was funny that Brenda Strong and Marcia Cross have both loved them some Dr. Brown!

Finally watched this, good show. Liked the black humor and the "soapy" elements. TV needs more shows like this, it was a very fun hour.
