Just caught it briefly.
If you've seen Brian Wilson lately these days you'll know what I mean. Very poor performance, barely coherent.

didn't he have a stroke? The A&E biography on him is excellent, by the way.

also, the washington post said he had a stroke:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv...owe_c03796.htm
"But to watch Wilson, his hair slicked back, one side of his face twisted from a stroke, and to listen to him tell his sad history, is immeasurably compelling. After being treated cruelly by his father, Wilson tells us, he turned to the solace of his room and music, which was "my only friend." He listened religiously to songs by the Four Freshmen and the great producer Phil Spector, and he imitated everything—note by note—on the piano until he had it all down."

I watched the first half of him doing Good Vibrations and had to change the channel. It was too depressing. He had a keyboard in front of him and he never used it during the first half of the song that I saw. He just put his arms out in front of him and kind of shook them imitating "good vibrations" I guess. There were a ton of musicians supporting him and doing the bulk of the vocals.
It was also depressing to see Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray promoting his job on Extra. I am not a Suger Ray fan, but I think Extra is just awful with their cheesey rehearsed banter.

You guys should check out this documentary that came out in the early 90's on the Theremin. There's an interview with Brian Wilson which will have you wetting your pants laughing.

For a guy who literally hears voices in his head daily threatening to kill him, I'm amazed at how well he does function.
Can you imagine getting up and performing in front of large audiences with that going on indide your head?
