Anyone happen to notice the stupid typo on the "tree-mail"?

"Examine your tribe mates' strengths,
who's talents you'll admire..."

Who is? Seems like in a somewhat popular show like this they could at least hire a proofreader.

Weird Brook was out instead of Chris. Brook, we hardly knew thee...

Did Brook even do anything boot worthy? Was it just that he was a threat? What a dumb move. Shoulda gotten rid of Chris.

Getting rid of Chris is probably a bad move if you're in an alliance with him.

Chances are next week's challenge won't involve a balance beam.

True but there are no real alliances yet. Don't be surprised if he's an oaf week after week. No reason that I saw to boot Brook yet, especially so decisively. Hmmmm...

Yep. She may be the hottest Survivor ever .... IMO.

I didn't catch that but I sure noticed the one who couldn't read.

I think it was the first step of voting off the youngest and strongest.

For some reason, Chris reminds me of Chris Griffin from Family Guy.

Some of the girls look pretty hot.

I'm finding survivor getting old now, the beginning was really boring. I think they should give the show a break.

It won't matter. He isn't going to be an asset for the male team in much of anything IMO. I already instantly dislike Chris. He, quite frankly, is an idiot. I don't know what Survivor he has been watching, but "out balanc[ing]" certainly is a part of the game. It has come up in quite a few challenges in various ways. That was an absolutely pathetic showing on that beam. Even if I had that much trouble on the beam (I wouldn't--it's not that hard), I would have finished it no matter what. Now that he survived the first round, he'll likely be around a while, unfortunately.

Also, I can't remember exactly what the promo "guaranteed" about the fist 10 minutes, but I wasn't impressed/shocked/whatever. I have watched every season so far, but this one doesn't look good. It's early, but the cast just doesn't do it for me so far.

You never know, a group may have gotten together the first day and made a pact but the producers will not show that if that group makes it a long way. That takes the suspense out of the tribal councils. An example would be Ruppert, Jenna, Rob, and Amber from all-stars. They made a pact on the 12th day but that was never tipped off until late in the broadcasts when Ruppert won the challenge where he could choose who got the food being given away.

Chris and Eliza are both annoying.

I could have been over that beam in 3 steps.

Brook got screwd. But thats what he gets for having a girls name. Atleast put an "s" at the end.

Julie was by far my favorite lady though Dolly is nice aswell. I hope she sticks around for a while.

Hmm..didn't it kind of seem like it was more slated for the women's team to do better? They have some awfully butch women. Plus, the men's team is at a handicap not only with the one-legged guy, but it seems the majority of them are really out of shape.

I wish they'd voted Piggy (Chris) out. C'mon.. if this is Lord of the Flies, Chris is fucking Piggy.

I really like Ami I thaught she was cute with her little nose ring and she seems to have a likeable personality

That other girl Evian (?) who kept on yapping was really annoying even after one episode..although she's attractive...as long as she doesn't speak...

That older lady who built the shelter don't know her name but when she was doing her soundbite interview I couldn't understand a damn thing she said

On the guys side well since there's only one black guy you know he's already in trouble

I Thaught the guy with the one leg was pretty cool I don't think he'll be a liability

PS To the previous post who said Chris reminded him of that hyper active Tony Little informecial guy

I must say, there are some mighty nice sets of racks on this season of Survivor, probably too many because I thought I was watching Fear Factor/Dog Eat Dog on location.

Kind of funny that they voted off one of the younger, stonger guys this early.

You need to have guys like that to win immunity challenges for the tribe.

I think they might find out they short themselves in the foot for trying to get rid of all the young strong guys. At least so far, that seems to be the plan in effect by the rest of the tribe. I almost hope that Chris continues to be a hinderence to the guys and they kick themselves for keeping him around.

Pretty cool about the guy with the artificial foot. He choose to reveal it only after proving he could keep up with them in the hike to the beach. And then competed just like the rest of them on the balance beam, and other parts of that challenge.
