Entourage (season finale) 9/12/04

Sick of being known as "Vince's guy," Eric wants a title commensurate with his responsibilities.

Agreed! This is one of the funniest and breeziest half-hours on TV, and hopefully we won't have to wait a year to spend more times with these beautiful losers.

8 episodes is too damn short for a season of this show. I hope next season improves on this.

Solid finale last night. The only downer about the episode is that there was not enough Ari.

Loved Ari's line about E being Vince's manager and him being nice all this time. Bring on season 2 with full hour episodes and 22 episodes.

This really is a terrific show. HBO's done it again... Solid season and a very good finale. They even decided to throw some drama into the mix which was a nice change.

Can't wait for season 2. Hopefully it'll be hour long and 13-22 episodes.

Great episode last night, and the cameos were great.

I hope they continue with this show, as it is the only reason I am keeping HBO.

my tivo cut off the last minute or so of the show!!!

Can someone post what happened after
[spoiler] Vince got off the plane, told Eric he would be potentially spoiling a friendship, and agreed to make Eric a manager for 5%, then Eric said 10%.... [\spoiler] ...then my Tivo cut off.

Horrible piece of acting by Scarlet Johanson. Why does it seem like so many actors/actresses have a hard time playing themselves?

Unless you've met her, how would you know if that's the way she really is?

Jeremy517, I do kind of agree. I consider myself a Scarlet fan, but she did seem rather wooden.

That being said, I really enjoyed this episode and this season in general. I agree that it is one of the breeziest half-hours on TV.

I do not agree, however, in making the show an hour long. As much as I enjoy the show, I think it could lose that breezy, laid back feeling if it were stretched to an hour.

I guess HBO has me hooked on another show. Now that the network has me waiting for Season 2 of Entourage, where's new Deadwood, Carnivale and The Sopranos? I'm a junkie; I need my fix!

Interesting take on this episode (more the whole series really) from Bill Simmons on espn.com:

Read this yesterday and I disagree with him on one major point. I think Kevin Connolly does a terrific job as E. It is hard to beleive that this is the same guy that was on Unhappily Ever After with Nikki Cox.

Bill Simmons rules, but I also disagree with him on Kevin Connelly.

That article has it all wrong. He want's the show to become bitter and sarcastic, showing all the evils and downfalls possible in hollywood. But that's what everyone expects. When you first see the characters, you figure that Turtle would be stealing from Vince. You expect Johnny drama to be bitter an resentful attempting to backstab his brother and steal the limelight. You expect E to quickly turn into Ari.
But when none of that happens, it's a great thing. You don't have to look at every episode wondering when it's all gonna come crashing down. You sit back and have fun. I'm glad there's a show about celebrities that doesn't make it look like they're living in a hell with no real friends and miserable because of there fame. Maybe thats true for some, but I think most of the time celebrity life is a lot like it is on Entourage. And if it's not, then I don't want to know about it.

As soon as Entourage turns bitter, I aint watching it anymore.

I concur. Connelly has been the most surprising part of the show.

Maybe Simmons needs to stick to writing about, oh I do not know, SPORTS. I think he is wrong about Connelly, wanting the show to be more bitter and casting no names. I do not think this show would have worked if you cast Jude Law as Vince. I am glad E is stepping up to the agent role, because he has been getting shit form all sides and he needs to step up, now he just needs to dump that bitch of a girlfriend.

No way - he's just wrong here. No need for him to stop commenting on pop culture. I love his movie reviews. Plus his random comments on 1990s television (particularly 90210) are priceless.

First off, Monica Keena is incredibly hot. They need more of her, but she needs to be wearing less and not talking so much.

E is going to be Vince's Manager, Ari will still be the agent.

I like how finally stepped up to the plate and put his foot down on the manager issue.

Where have we seen the girl that was at the very beginning of the show before?

I love Scarlett Jo.
