Herman's Head(?)

so i'm curious... since i was relatively young when Herman's Head was on the air. i loved the show but don't have very clear memories of it. not to mention that i wasn't exactly mature at the time that i enjoyed it...

so, i guess my question is: Was this actually a good show? Do you think it would stand the test of time? Or was it merely a decent show? etc.

discuss.

p.s. i don't expect this thread to last too long!

I was pretty young when it was on also. I'm sure there were alot of the adult jokes I probably didn't get.

I think I was in junior high when this aired. I remember it being quite funny though.

Interesting tidbits about Herman's Head:

The blonde was played by Jane Sibbett, who played Ross's ex-wife Carol on Friends.

The secretary was played by Yeardley Smith, who voices Lisa on the Simpsons.

Herman's best friend Jay was played by Hank Azaria, who voices Apu, Moe, Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Superintendant Chalmers, the Sea Captain, Professor Frink, Dr. Nick, Snake, Cletus, and many others on the Simpsons (He also played David on Friends)

I also only have hazy memories of the show but would love to check it out again.

If we're linking Herman's Head to Friends, don't forget Jennifer Aniston guest-starred on a few episodes as Herman's sister.

I remember really likeing the show.

Herman was also the kid Charlie in FrightNight, and his girlfriend was Amanda Bearse (Marcy from Married With Children).

Didn't Hank Azaria's character end up being Yeardly Smith's boyfriend a few years into the series? It makes me think of Lisa gettin' it on with Moe, Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Superintendant Chalmers, the Sea Captain.

I remember loving the show, but I don't even think I was in high school yet when it aired. I'd love to see if it makes it to DVD though. With TV sitcoms constantly getting the DVD treatment, who knows... it may happen with this one too.

For some reason all i remember is the episode with the Nude Beach. Of course, i'm only 21 now so i was pretty young at the time and naturally the concept of a "nude beach" would stand out

Jay: Hedi!

Umm, Amanda Bearse, who also directed MWC, is a lesbian so I don't know about that.

I loved this show. HH, The Simpson's, and Tracey Ullman Show made a great block for the early days of Fox TV.

I remember liking it. Most likely because of all the familiar Simpsons voices (and occasional Simpsons references).

It was okay. I watched it often but just because it was better than whatever else was on. Some funny stuff but not a brilliant comedy by any means.

I barely remember this show, but I do remember thinking it was funny. I would definitely give it another shot if it came out on DVD.

Amanda Bearse played William Ragsdale girlfriend in the movie.

And interestingly enough, she played with his real life girlfriend inbetween takes.
