From David Fury...

A: Some fans wanted some closure on Angel, and are feeling all sad and empty about the open ending in the alley. Let's help them get over it. The dragon ate Angel, and Spike dusted himself on a rusty nail, right?

Fury: Oh, no no... Angel and friends defeated the entire army from Hell, killed the dragon, and destroyed Wolfram and Hart. The world is a utopia, where there's no more sickness or wars... And Angel, Spike, Buffy and The Immortal are sharing a villa together in the South of France. Ahhhh.... That's nice , isn't it?

Did you snag any souvenirs from the Angel set before they tore it down?

Fury: I actually have the peepee demon living in my linen closet. Thinking about putting him up on E-Bay

Guess I'm not "most people". I love Angel, but I love Spike too - I'd watch a spinoff with him as the lead in a second, especially if other castmemembers were joining him.
I think he WAS a good character but they have shoved him down our throats and I think one of the reasons this was done was to cater to the Girls who thought he was sexy. The beefcake factor in other words. Unfortunately in the process he has been watered down to the point where his is just comic relief with little or no edge left.

Anyone else hear that Amy Acker is 5 months pregnant? I wonder how the writers would have written in that pregnancy had season 6 happened...

That was the idea for the next season, so with that in mind we knew the end of season five was heading into something huge and global and monumental. In the finale, they basically start a war and it's a war that will have huge good and evil implications of almost Biblical proportions. It would have been very different next year, and a little more sci-fi, I guess." - David Fury
That's what I was hoping the season 5 finale/season 6 beginning of Buffy was going to be like.
