to Chip. 2 teams in debt to him now.

Can't believe the bowling whales didn't get eliminated 'cause the show suddenly decides this is a no elimination leg. Let's see how they'll whore themselves out for money in "a country where everyone's pooor."

Removed a bunch of spoiler tags. If it aired as part of the regular broadcast of the show or if you're just guessing as to what might happen next show, please don't put it in spoiler tags. Out of everyone that used the tags, only two folks actually talked about next week's promo, which should be in spoiler tags. Someone trying to avoid the promos can't tell just from looking at the black box whether the stuff you're talking about is stuff that's already happened, speculation, or actual spoilers, so please don't use the tags unless you're REALLY talking about something that hasn't happened yet. Thank you.

"What does a satchel look like?"

If nothing else, the twins are worth the comedy.

I can't wait for next week to find out how the moms will handle their situation and especially how
Spoiler:
Colin and Christie lose what must be a 6+ hour lead

I think that the ones of us who posted spoiler tags earlier were the ones who watched on East Coast time, just good form I think.

But I could be wrong.

That's the only reason I used them.

Enough with the Mirnish! "Bellisimo" in a Russian museum?? We get another round of Charlades; she's a ferry boat, then a plane and now a train (but then, other teams were doing the Choo-choo thing this time). And I know Mirna was trying to get under the Pizza Brothers skin at the Lufthansa office, but the Dance, Little Cousin, Dance! bit was kinda demeaning towards Charna. Considering that Mirna contributes little more that getting the team lost and pissing off the other teams, moments like that or the "hurry up, Charna" grate against my nerves more than anyone else's opinions about Charna's abilities.

Too bad there was no Heavenly Moment for Brandon and Nicole this episode, but Brandon's nervousness about "Who's up for going down?" was entertaining, with him fretting about "crevices" and "getting stuck in a hole he might not be able to get out of" had the Killgores giggling like middle schoolers.

The Twins are making the thread they're hanging by a liiiiiitle thinner. They've gotten to the point of being stupid on purpose. Only Chip, vying for some good karma, was their saving grace, otherwise, we could have been treated to another dumbfounded look as Phil would have told them to hand over their money.

Good editing at the end. Until the last, I was considering the possibility that the Twins got lost again on the way to the Sphinx. And then the Bowling Moms get mugged by Phil! I was expecting him to say, "hand over the watches and jewelry, too." Obviously, the next leg won't be too reliant on cash, as there have been legs on previous shows where they get some miniscule amount like $1.

We have had teams in the past begging for money and getting it.
Just takes time.

I know more russian than the russian cousins.
Spasibo was all they could get out, and like rkillgore said, Bellisimo is the only foreign word they know

No Team found the Yield on this leg.

So I guess you are not guaranteed to find it, though that seems stupid since if you are Yielded, but don't find the Yield, how do you know to stop?

Finally, they explained the FF. They should have said this at the start. As I said, it is like changing the rules of football without the announcers saying anything. With only 2 FFs available, they were smart to take it now.

They need to better address the Yield situation each episode if what you say is true.

I'm with das - finally some real separation. I think there should always be some kind of task before going to airport. Even something as simple as this. Hopefully they don't something artificial that singles out Colin and Christie for a delay so others can catch up.

WTF is up with the Bellissimo comments in Russia? I will say this though - Schmirrna is starting to grow on me. Mirna - talk about your high maintenence women - one of the most annoying reality contestents ever.

I never liked the non-elimation aspect, but this twist makes it more interesting and palatable.

The "bellisimo" at the museum I sort of understood, since the museum was very beautiful. It was the "bellisimo" at the Lufthansa counter that really confused me.

When I heard that exchange, I told Nicole to get out of that relationship ASAP if she ever wants to have an orgasm. (I don't think she heard me through the TV).

The show didn't suddenly decide this is a non-elimination leg. They are planned at the beginning.

Removed a bunch of spoiler tags. ...
Thanks. I originally posted without the tags but noticed that everyone else in the thread had, so I edited and added them in. I remember at some point there was East Coast/West Coast discussion about this particular thread, because the thread is a poll and is started so early, leading to a lot of discussion. You know I can't stand all the unnecessary spoiler tags, so if the standard policy applies to these threads as well, I'm all for it, and it won't happen again.

Team 1.5 made a good move at the airport. It amazed me how many teams just sat around and didn't at least try to do something similar.

It seems like the fat-asses are lazy and just want to be pulled along by everyone else. They expect everyone to let them ride their coattails and then get pissed when anyone makes a move on their own. They are the team I want to win least.

Brandon did kinda make a wuss move at the shaft, but also consider that if he truly has a fear of tight places or whatever he was complaining about, it would be smart to actually let her do the task. I have certain fears (heights, etc) and if I were in that situation, I would want the best person for that task to do it.

Colin and Christie made a great move at the airport. That is the type of thinking that can ultimately win the race. If they can stay on their toes the whole race, they have a good chance.

The twins lucked out on this one and they should be thanking Chip. They could have fumbled around for a long time if it weren't for him.

Someone mentioned earlier that they have to find the yield. I firmly believe that the yield is in a can't-miss place along the way. Otherwise it would be pointless as the team that had the yield put on them might not even see it. They only reason they are not alluding to it is that no one is using it. Why waste air time with something that is not in play in the particular leg. Just wastes time that can be used for better things.

Great episode.

As much as I dislike team 1.5, they do play smart.
That was a great move waiting until the other teams fell asleep then getting on an earlier filght. They also seem like they are having the most fun.

I wasn't rooting for Chip & Kim before but I think I will now that he helped Brandon and Nicole and the Wonder Twins. Brandon & Nicole have been screwing over everyone they make an alliance with. If Chip & Kim needed help I doubt Brandon & Nicole would have helped them.

Colin and Christie are looking like a very strong team.
I just hope the next episode doesn't start with everyone waiting for a plane or train together and erasing their huge lead.

It's a matter of time for Marshall & Lance with his knees like that.

I'm still rooting for the Wonder Twins because they are cute.
Dumb but cute.

I'm rooting for these guys right now. They play smart and they don't seem to have any of the petty squabbles with any of the other teams. I think that'll carry them a long way.

What's up with the team that's already in first place using the Fast Forward. Wouldn't it make more sense to use it only if you are behind or wait to later in the game where it's more useful?

I was also laughing at that one. They gotta keep that midget in the show as long as they can, I still think she's good for ratings.

I guess they just wanted to spoil it for anyone else who would have tried and also to increase their lead.

Lat night we noticed that Mirna hasn't done a single roadblock.

Yeah, I think Charla must be getting annoyed with her by now. Although, I think she did the one roadblock where they had to grab a flag from the neck of a cow.

There are only 2 available throughout the race so why not use it when you are in a position to. You don't know if you be able to get the next one.

Frankly, I don't even know why they bother having the FF at all if they only offer it twice. It is a no-brainer decision to take it now whereas before the decision was far more strategic.

There are only two in the entire race. They might as well use one while they have the chance. Don't worry - someone will catch them because of the stupid layovers or something.

edit to add: Damn you, RD!!!!

I have a question about the fast forward. I know that only one team can use it during each leg that it's offered, but do the other teams know if it's been used by another team?

After Colin & Christie used it last night I was just waiting for another team to attempt to use it only to find out that it's no longer available once they got to the FF point. The fact that no one discussed using it (or it was edited out) after C&C took it makes my think that the other teams are told that it's no longer valid.

Anyone know?

That was the only one Charla said she couldn't do. Mirna couldn't haggle her way out of that one.

Bellisimo!!!

I think that there is one FF envelope in the checkpoint box. When a team opts to use it - it's gone.
