My wife and I love The Soup...where else can you see the best of the worst CGI shots from SciFi movies, and clips from such brutally bad reality shows as Bad Girls and Rock of Love? I also LOL at the constant string of shoutbacks to past clips (pickle licking girl, Sanjaya, Liz Taylor, and the new "Some People Didn't Like It" from AI's Danny Whatsisname...)

I've only started watching this recently after not watching since SkunkBoy. Can someone explain some older jokes for me? What's with the "Chicks, Man" and the Ryan Seacrest stuff?

Huge fan of Talk Soup for years when Kinnear and Henson were doing it. I just got into The Soup about a year ago. It's good for a few laughs, mostly from the actual clips.

Love the clips and snarky comments about the clips... despite the skits and characters (mankini, etc)

I watch the Soup weekly, it's how I found out what is happening in all the reality tv that i don't watch. Every once in a while they have a great clip, or they make some great jokes, like the ones recently about the human thumb. They could do without the skits though, just do the clips and comments.

I am a bit appalled at the number of posts in this thread that refer to the show Talk Soup which is in no way related to this show except for what network the show is on.
The Soup was a Best Week Ever clone attempt that launched with the title I do believe "The 'What The...?' Awards" that quickly got renamed to capitalize on the name recognition of the other show. It's branding at best.

- Chat Stew was originally a segment on... you guessed it... Talk Soup.
- Tom McNamara and various other crew members worked on both Talk Soup and The Soup.
- Both John Henson and Aisha Tyler have appeared on the show admitting it's the same show.

I watch The Soup literally every week. I never miss it. Sadly, because of it I know of monsters like Honey Boo boo and the Kardashians. The show is a consistent source of laughs, though.

I am a bit appalled that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

2) Kurt Sutter worked on The Shield and Sons of Anarchy, on the same network. Same show?
3) Henson and Tyler are apparently idiots who don't know the history, then.
Man, this has the makings of a serious Internet dust up over something completely pointless. I haven't had this much fun in ages.

The show was called Talk Soup cause it use to only show clips of talk shows, they changed it to The Soup when they started doing reality show clips as well. What the hell are you talking about.
