I loved it when the troll "clocked out."
D12 as G&R was kinda funny... but what was with all of the chanting of "F Marshall"? That was kinda unnecessary.
I agree with ytrez, Jack Black should host everything (.. on MTV).

Laaaaaaame show, except for a few things...
Jack Black was great, as usual.
I fell in love with the Beasties all over again.
Ron Burgundy's skits made me want to go see the movie.
The LOTR 4 intro was funny, especially the bit about the ring not being destroyed, thus making it possible for a "quadrology" :
Peter Jackson : "The ring was destroyed."
Ben Stiller: "but what if it wasn't?"
"But it was."

Dear MTV:
Please get taller mic stands or please inform everyone they do not need to &$%^#! hunch over!
I missed the beginning of the first broadcast, so I thought I missed the "inject the host in a blockbuster movie" bit, which is always entertaining, so I watch the immediate repeat. Instead, I get a movie pitch skit with Stiller (whose omnipresence is really annoying me), Vaughn and Jackson which would have better suited stuck in the middle of the show and about three minutes shorter. A lame opening and from the first hour that I watched, it didn't improve. The point of the caged troll? I dunno, but I kept feeling sorry for him, trapped up there under those hunching idiots.

I thought those interviews were just rediculously lame. Even scares me that Anchorman is going to suck, but I guess i'll have to wait and see.

Okay to the link of pics of Lohan arriving at the awards. I think Michael Jackson would look more comfortable arriving at a Bachelor Party than Lohan standing there with Biel.
Come on guys, Lohan over Biel? Youve got to be joking. Biel wins!

I've never been so bored in my life. Only redeeming part was the Beastie Boys. Other than that, there was nothing funny or watercooler worthy.

This was just an embarassment all around. I don't know what's worse: the celebs trying to be cool/funny as presenters, or their fellow celebs actually cheering them on/laughing as if they really WERE being cool/funny up there.
The overlong Foxx/Cruise "Tom is so cool" bit was a lowpoint, especially if you saw how UNhip was in the pre-show. He clearly seemed like a 40 year old who really DIDN'T get what was going on anymore, but played along the best he could. I felt bad for him.

actually the funniest thing was durign the credits when sean scott said something to the likes of "ive ate semin, got peed on, kissed ashton kutcher, kissed jason biggs, ate dog poop, so kids, if you follow your dreams, they could come true.

Pretty awful. The Stiller/Jackson bit was funny but the show took a nose dive pretty quickly. What was up with that awful set design and theme, was it based on some goth video game or something? The whole thing looked like a leftover Marilyn Manson video, terrible stuff.

I take it that this was not shown live, but recorded another night and shown last night. I watched part of the opening and red carpet still. And was wondering how Kobe was going to get to the Laker game.

Yeah I thought the show was terrible. MTV needs to do much better. Right from the begining, the show was boring. And why do they tape the show and air it like 6 days later? It's not because of the Janet Jackson scandal because MTV has always aired the show taped. Thanks.

I'm gonna have to catch a repeat. I only saw a few minutes of it. The parts I saw were pretty boring, but I'll still watch cause there some things I'd like to see. I'm not an Eminem fan, but I have to admit that after seeing those guys dressed liked Gn'R, I wanna see what they do with it.
And I saw a couple of those 'tans from a bottle' on some celebs: Matthew Perry, Linsay Lohan, and Jim Caviezel. Wow, they looked bad. And just who convinced Lohan to dance at the beginning? Fish outta water. I kinda felt embarrased for her.

If tradition holds true, the Vaughn/Stiller/Jackson bit will be on the ROTK:EE
Both previous EE's had MTV Movie Awards footage as an easter egg

I agree though, they should show it a little earlier. But MTV's always had it on Thursdays for as long as I can remember. Can't break tradition now I guess...

Nothing of importance, kinda lacked the fun of ealier shows had.
Where's all the funny segments from movies they make fun of?
The Anchorman stuff was stupid.
The only good thing, inbetween everyone's self-promotion, was the Kill Bill trailer segment w/ Andy Dick as Pai Mei.
Just boring this year. Everyone tried to do something outrageous but it just came off dull.

For a music awards show, they sure had a lot about movies.
Isn't this taped every year? They show clips of the show to promote it before they get around to airing it.

The show was pretty lame overall and probably the lamest MTV Movie Awards yet, but it still was better than any of the MTV Music Awards shows over the past 5 years or so.
The one and only moment I laughed at any of the presenters' shtick was when Kirsten Dunst and the "mystery woman" in the Spider-Man outfit were at the podium.
After Kirsten said "You aren't Tobey Maguire" and the mystery woman said "WHAT?", it was the only genuine laugh of the show for me.
Just the way the word "WHAT" was said is what made me laugh, and I instantly thought "wow, someone with great comic timing is finally presenting!" And when Ellen DeGeneres took off the Spidey mask, I was proven right.
But then MTV had to ruin this one funny moment by stretching it into lameness when they dragged it out some more.

I watched the opening bit with Stiller and Vaughn, and Vince saved that for me. I couldn't get throught the bit with Lindsay and her fake parents. After that it was a couple of flip backs to the show during commercials. Looks like I didn't miss much.

that Michael Moore bit was so stupid. What shameless promotion for the so called "documentary" maker
I wouldnt be suprised if the same company(ies) that bought Farenheit 9/11 to distribute are owned by the parent company of MTV.
I know people who are going to see it and some that arent but come on Moore, cut out the "that guy in the White House doesnt want you to see this" bit. It doesnt work
