I didn't see anything monumentally bad with Scott's performance. Maybe she will go where she was going at the end of the episode and come back as a different actress.

Just watched the episode. Ashley Scott was fine, and she hardly even had any lines. Odd that people didn't like her in just a short amount of time.

Anyway, I thought the pilot was very funny! Can't wait for the series.

I thought this was a pretty good pilot. I'm not sure if it has legs because I think the "Joey's not so bright" gags might get old pretty fast; but I plan on checking out the series when it premieres.

Ashley Scott looked hot and nothing about her performance was particularly bad. However, there didn't seem to be much chemistry there either. I definitely will miss her, especially seeing as how she's apparently allergic to bras.

Not bad. I expected the pilot to be much worse, it will be interesting to see what is changed when its aired.

I also wondered why they dumped Scott. I looked at her closely (for many reasons) and didn't find anything horrible about her performance.

No not on tv. Some people have access to pilots and such.

I'd e-mail someone here who has seen it and they can probably let you know more.

I don't know -- I was sick of the "Frasier's a pretentious stuffed shirt" gags on Cheers, but the character quickly fleshed out and grew on his own sitcom. While there's no guarantee Joey will be good, it wouldn't surprise me if the show comes into its own and has a good solid run.

I can't believe the torrent of people that have seen this pilot already!

I, too, am one, and I really enjoyed it. I didn't particularly care for Joey's nephew though. Didn't like him in American Pie or whatever teen comedy he was in either. Thought that Drea was okay. I think that I will like Joey a lot more now since he is not surrounded by the same old tired characters.

If they didn't get old in 7+ years of friends, why would they now?

half-hour sitcom pilots? I've seen a few hour long pilots, but very few 1/2 hour pilots.

Eh? The pilot episode is usually the first episode aired of a series. A few shows have 'unaired' pilots with different things in it.

watched it last night and thought it was actually pretty good. Drea was far better than I thought she'd be in a sitcom and I think she'll be the reason this show succeeds. I noticed David Schwimmer is directing it too....

As for the chick they dumped...meh. With the exception of the fact that her nipples were hard the entire time she was on camera, there was little to her or her ability to act. She's no Jennifer Aniston.

I thought this show was hilarious, and could actually stick around for a while. Joey and DeMatteo had some great chemistry IMO. I could care less about Ashley Scott though, in fact that character just annoyed the crap out of me.

Finally saw the pilot. Hilarious stuff. This show should be around for a while.
