Update on "Joey" - Ashley Scott dumped
 

According to Zap2it.com, the screening of the pilot episode went great except that people were not happy with Ashley Scott's character. Her character will be recast. Think this is good/bad news for the show??

I don't see how it can be a bad thing - there is plenty of eye candy out there w/ more talent who need work.

She is what bugged me about Bird of Prey, while she's hot, she's rather creepy.

Maybe Jessica Alba will get the job!?

That was the most appealing part of the show. They better find someone just as hot.

She is good to look at, but that is about it. No big loss IMO.

I don't plan on watching Joey (I'm not a big Friends fan), but I thought Ashley Scott was probably the worst part of Birds of Prey, which is quite an achievement, considering nearly everything else about that show sucked (except Dina Meyer & Lori Loughlin). Ashley's dull, lifeless acting outweighed her looks, IMO. Hopefully the show will cast an actress with some acting talent & charisma.

As a <i>Buffy</i>/<i>Angel</i> fan, this combination of words makes me laugh. Carry on ...

Matt LeBlanc is all the eye candy I need, and I'm pretty sure he's not leaving. ;)

Charisma would be a good choice as Joey's sister.

I hope this show does okay. Ashley Scott was one of the most lifeless actresses I have ever seen, and I have seen plenty. No big loss.

Alyson Hannigan did a comedy pilot for NBC that didn't get picked up and is free at the moment. I think she'd bring a nice energy to the show.

And yet, as a blonde Asha on "Dark Angel" I thought Ashley looked pretty good. Go figure.

I just watched the pilot (the one with Ashley Scott), and I thought it was pretty funny, though I have no idea how Joey's going to make a living in LA. Ashely Scott looks a lot better as a blonde, so her presence was fine with me, so too bad she got dumped.

Drea deMatteo looked subdued without the big poofed up hair she usually sports in The Sopranos. She fits in well as Joey's sister.
