Yeah, Big Brother premieres on Tuesday, July 6th at 8om... First show is 90 minutes, and at 9:30 the same night the new Amazing Race premieres.

Same deal as last season, three episodes a week. But now the three are going to be on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays. Tuesday and Saturday are at 9pm, Thursday at 8pm. Should make for a better show with the episodes more spread out.

Like I said in the prior post in this thread, I've been watching Big Brother 5 UK. If the US version takes anything from the changes they made to the UK version this season, it should be entertaining. All they went on about in the UK during the first couple episodes was how "evil" this season would be... So far, it's turning out to be about as enjoyable as any reality show not named "The Amazing Race" can be.

Someone mentioned Stargate Atlantis... Had completely forgotten about both SG shows, but I'll be tuning into that as well as season 8 of SG-1 this July.

What channel do you watch Big Brother 5 UK on? Is it BBC?

Oh and, what nights and times is it on?

Thanks

Joe Schmo 2 starts up on Spike TV on Tuesday, June 15.

http://www.spiketv.com/shows/series/joeschmo/

This time they're mocking Bachelor-type shows, and there is a Joe AND Jane Schmo being deceived.

What were they last year... Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, something like that? I do remember there was this huge gap between episodes (Saturday to the following Wednesday).

As for "twists", I've decided to really, really lower my expectations, which is saying something, given that this is Big Brother, not ever very high on my list. It's bubblegum summer entertainment, fine for what it is, but not exactly a brain-drain! Most of the twists last year were soooo predictable (even last year's "ex-factor"; the minute I heard that tagline, before I knew anything about it, I thought, What, like ex-girlfriends and boyfriends? ), I'm just going to enjoy the lack of surprise this year.

Regarding Big Brother 5 UK... For the US, Usenet is your friend and only way to watch it. In the UK, it airs on Channel 4.

And yeah, last year the US version was Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. As shoppingbear said, mindless summer entertainment. The whole "ex-factor" was a joke, so as I mentioned earlier, hopefully they take a cue from the Brit version and drop the lame gimmicks.
