It's sad that the most interesting thing about Jamie that the producers could come up with is... her mom.

Why has she not had a talk with her parents?

I assume her mom lives in Korea?

My guess is that her parents moved here when she was young.

I have the same problem with my parents that Jamie has with hers. Sometimes the language barrier makes it tough to carry on a "natural" dialogue, and it leads to not developing a more meaningful relationship with your parents. Thus, I sympathized with her plight. Yes, it's a bit boring, but for first-generation immigrant children, it can be a heart-breaking way to grow up, not fully communicating with one's parents due to language barriers.

Hated last nights episode. Can she just go home already. Frankie doesn't make for interesting TV she's just annoying. I can't stand Cameran but in no way is she as bad as Frankie.
