I consider all five seasons of Angel to be unusually strong, although Three is really the best. I consider the first season to be the worst, although mostly because I can't stand Kate Lockley. The quality of the show is consistent throughout the entire series, though, so I have to say that it's well worth it to go back and watch the first few seasons as well, especially the third.

I thought it was ten times better than the Buffy finale since Buffy felt rushed and lackluster. Maybe was the fact the Angel crew knew ahead of time that this will be the last season.
I dont know where youre getting that but Joss knew before he even started season six that seven was going to be the last. They were halfway done shooting this season of Angel when they were told it was over.

I felt the finale was terrific. A fitting end to a great series. The final scene captured exactly what Angel Investigations stood for during its past five years. Fighting the good fight to the very end with all odds against you. Saving lives and doing whats right is a cause worth dying for. Seeing our heros going out swinging one last time brought a big smile to my face.

If you need to get any information aboyt the Angel series, I would suggest that you visit saveangel.org
TV movies were only a rumor to shut the fan base up.
However there does seem to be a growing campaign to stop watching WB network.
My reaction on the ending of the show- unprintably angry.

Considering their fall line-up, I don't think a campaign will be necessary.

What lame ass Studio executive made the decision not only to cancel Angel but then to put a sketch comedy show in it's place?
That plus we get the pairing of Smallville and the comedy show.

Genius!

The sketch comedy show is obviously costing the WB a whole lot less than Angel on a per-episode basis.

The best thing to hope for are possible feature films, possibly to dvd straight or cinematic release, if they could do a movie trilogy with 3 films, 2 hours each, it would be like 7 or 8 episodes of a season sixth, cover the epic themes, properly funded, David B is up for raising the Bar on angel, hopefully we'll hear something once Joss finishes Senerity.

Just saw it! (Yes, I'm behind, hope i am not stirring up bad memories here).

Man that 'your friends at the WB' ticked me off too !

Hope something more will come some day from that universe.

I would strongly suggest that you check a web site called saveangel.org.
According to the site, the man who canceled Angel has been fired.
I strongly suspect that it was due to the bad publicity over what he had done. The new guy admits it was a mistake and is pushing for a series of movies. Since DB does not want to due a tv movie, it is likely that they will focus arround one of the other characters. The buzz is that Spike is a leading candidate.
Other news - Amy Acker is five months pregnant.

Yeah, let's have the Spike Action hour. Can't Marsters get any other work as someone other than Spike? Give it a rest James.

If DB doesnt want to do it then don't do it at all!

Actually James is also doing a movie version of Hamlet. The two projects have caused him to fold his band.
