Good publicity photo.

I am looking forward to this finale probably the most of all this year.

My wife and son are very eager to see this as well.

I hope you are wrong on the "Ever" part but boy am I going to miss this show. I thought the 5th season was going to tank after the first 10 episodes or so but it's gotten back on it's path and has been Great.
I wasnt an Illyria action figure.

The publicity photo looks to be an old one from Ange's Buffy days because Boreanz does not look like that anymore and when was the last time Angel wore Leather?

I'm guessing that was the last time since there's an auction going on...

Well, i'll be sorry to see this show go, however, thanks to some of Boreanz's comments in interviews during the final weeks, not as sorry as I was to see Farscape get the shaft.

::sigh:: This is all very bittersweet. I've always loved the buffyverse finales, but this being the last ep and all...it's all just a little sad. I can't wait to see it though. It looks like they lifted some essence from the LOTR's Helm Deep scene, but its all good.

I'm kinda hoping that they do a 'Previously On..' montage like they did for Buffy's 'The Gift'...

Yeah i was thinking about a montage too. It would be cool but it would it just piss me off later when they don't put it on the DVD set

I think that montage is part of one of the supplements in the season 5 DVD release, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Last Angel ever. Boy that sucks. At least with Buffy I had a sense of closure because I thought they had done everything they needed to do with the main character and Sunnydale. The last season almost felt like a 'victory lap'. But with Angel it feels wrong. There was so much more that needed to be done.

The worst part about the finale for me is that I started watching Angel too late, so now I'm catching up on the DVDs, because I don't want to watch out of sequence. Now I have to try to not hear what happens until I watch the episode on DVD in a year and a half.

I'm just now on episode 6 of angel, thanks to the TNT reruns. (and season 6 of Buffy thanks to FX and blockbuster) I'm debating whether i should i watch the last episode tonight or not. I won't recognize anyone, or any of the plots, and i'll probably spoil 90% of the series for myself... but at the same time i'm really tempted to watch.

They better not end with a friggin' cliff-hanger.

I was reading an article about Joss Whedon not liking to do cliff hangers, but
Spoiler:
this episode allegedly ends as one. This leaves me to wonder if there isn't some secret scene they filmed, maybe even Team Angel getting some help in their most desperate hour since they went so far out of their way to deny any possible cameos by any of the Scoobies.

Here's a quote from Executive producer Jeff Bell who directs the finale tonight and cowrote the script with Joss:
"It's all monkey mojo," Bell says. "It's just about money. We did everything they asked us to this year and more - and I think they would say the same. So it's things I don't understand."

After the cancellation, there were some hurt feelings among the cast and crew that manifested itself in the finale.

According to Joss Whedon:
"We put a lot of that heartbreak into the script, into the show, so it would hurt as much to watch as it did to have it taken away from us." Whedon said. "I would not have been as brutal about the ending had we had another season."

Finally, Boreanaz on future installments:
"It depends on who the players are," he says, "what's going on with it. It would have to be the right thing. The bar would have to be much higher."

Can't wait too see what they have in store as I've thus far avoided all the spoilers.

So far, so good.

Spoiler:
I love that Spike went to a poetry slam.

I know that's not much of a spoiler, but in case someone's taping it or something...

Well, the Wesley-Fred scene was awfully touching.

The end was heroically fatalistic, but that the whole point, to fight the good fight.

Maybe it was all the violence, but I want to stab the eyes of whatever executive thought of that "thanks from the WB" piece.

Great ending. Hopefully we'll get a Buffy/Angel movie or comic someday that ties up that ending.
