Sorry for bumping a 2 year old thread, but I just re watched this episode tonight and noticed that the girl was kristen bell of veronica mars fame. Its almost a 180 degree turn from vm in this episode. (oh and i thought the death scene was disturbing as well.)

The series of events from when they are captured to when they are mercifully dispatched I believe is, by far, the most disturbing in the entire series.
If they had gone through with what Horse Fucker Steve planned for the ****** General in season 2, it would have been close.
