Jasmine - Take My Breath Away (from "Top Gun")
Jennifer - Somewhere Over the Rainbow (from "The Wizard of Oz")
John Stevens - As Time Goes By (from "Casablanca")

I was just about to predict that!

Because he dances like the gopher.

Didn't Kimberly Locke sing that one like 30 times last year? I was surprised she didn't do it again when they brought her out a few weeks ago.

She surely did. But it adapts well to Jennifer's gospel stylings, and since she gets her best reception when on that tract, I'm guessing she will go that route.

Either that or something from West Side Story.

After giving it a little more thought, I'd be 100% suprised if Red doesn't sing "Moon River."

I'm real interested to see what kind of comments QT comes up with...He doesn't seem like the type of person that would feel the need to shy away from critical remarks.

Fantasia - Big Bottom (from "This Is Spinal Tap")
Diana - Sweat Of My Balls (from "CB4")
Jennifer - Weird Science (from "Weird Science")
George - Lambda Lambda Lambda Rap (from "Revenge of the Nerds")
John Peter Lewis - Somebody Kill Me (from "The Wedding Singer")
LaToya - He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask) (from "Friday the 13th Part VI - Jason Lives")
John Stevens - Men In Black (from "Men In Black")
Jasmine - Theme from Mission Impossible (from "Mission Impossible")

I only say this because contestants rarely ever pick 1) what I think they'll pick, and 2) the song that is ideal for them.

I don't know if I've ever heard Tarantino say something negative about anybody. "Have you seen that movie? It's the best! And the guy who directed it, he's this 84-year-old Korean dude and he's just so awesome!!!"

Good point.

Well, if anything - I'm sure he won't be giving any short responses...

QT managed to make Zamphir cool. Imagine what he could do for John Stevens.

I hope Jasmine Trias wins. Like John Steven's, but surprised he's still in the running.

Looks like "Mack the Knife" is on the "What Women Want" soundtrack, so I'm hoping John Stevens does that.

I heard on ET that Quintin said something was "f-ckin" great or something like that, and they had to go back and redo that whole part. Did anyone else hear this? They were able to redo it since the show wasn't being shown on tv live. I wonder if we'll be able to tell where the retaped part is. And I also wonder who out of the final 9 is worthy of being called "f-ckin" great.

JPL could win if it's Movie night every night. His "fans" are probably eating this "performance" up...

George could be in the bottom three. Thus, for the first time ever, I'll vote for someone...him. About 20 times.

If Red, JPL can get multiple chances...then George sure deserves one. Tonight was the wrong time for him to go philosophical.

Jennifer was great though.

How do Red and Trias have votes and they haven't sung yet?

Fantasia

Randy said it's was the best idol performance ever in any season
(I expect this board to hate it because...they hate Fantasia)

Paula agrees
Quentin agrees
Simon agrees --- calls it magical

Good, but nowhere near as good as Clay Aiken singing "Solitaire" last season.
