So I was thinking about calling this one the "Steve and Edie" episode.

Does anyone know for sure whether that was really Edie Falco's ass or not? Though I highly doubt it, in a perfect world it would be her... I can't call it until I get the DVD of the episode, when zoom will most certainly be put to good use. Great episode otherwise, too...

I knew this would be one of the "slower" episodes when I saw the words "Directed by Peter Bogdonavich" on the opening credits...he's directed a few of these kind of episodes for the series.

That was definitely a body double for Falco when she went to the bathroom.

Anyone else think Tony S. may have been behind the ditching of the 12,000 - knowing Tony B. couldn't resist the bait?

After last weeks epidode, I was pretty bored with this one. Carmella and her plotlines have never been interesting to me. But, it's nice to see Tony B making a return to the family.

Peter is of course talented but he's so.... "soft".

Looks like Carmella's plotline is coming to an end and with A.J. back in the house it's like a really slow reset button got pressed.

I'm also thinking that wasn't Edie Falco's naked body. Not to be a male pig, but as nice and Edie is she's not exactly a supermodel, and that was a grade A ass.

I liked the way Meadow has been doing the equivilant of hottie drive by's the last few shows. Suddenly out of nowhere, BAM, hot young Meadow.. and BAM she's gone.

I hope they get back to the big Mob war that started 4 episodes ago.

Actually this is the first episode of the Sopranos Bogdanovich has ever directed. He has acted in the show before, but never directed it. I read before the season started that he was finally going to direct an episode this season.

He is one of my favorite directors and I was looking forward to seeing this episode all season. I really enjoyed it.

I noticed his eyebrows were back in last week's episode and said the same thing.

definitely a step down from the previous few eps. not sure i liked Tony B. peaking and hitting rock bottom all in one episode, especially after working so hard to get his license.

So no love for the Korean hottie (Amanda)?

Definitely not as good as the previous few eps, but not horrible either.

I'm kinda curious if they were going for a little foreshadowing when the teacher called AJ "Fredo Corleone"...

I saw the greande in there when she grabbed the gun. What was missing from that cabinet was the rifle.

I don't really get what happened with Tony B. He passes the exam, gets his own place, finds money, and then he hits the Korean with a 2"x4". I just didn't get it. Was it just the old "afraid of going straight" type deal or what? But yes, I could totally see Tony planting the $$. It's definitely the type of thing he'd do.

Well, that and the fact that during the tussle between Tony and AJ, AJ screams something about someday kicking Tony's ass.

This show just continues to spiral downward. This episode was boring and made no sense. Tony Blundetto's actions were absurd and poorly set up. Carmella's affair was pointless. This show only puts out 13 episodes every 15 months. It can't afford the luxury of slow episodes. I am really sick of the soap opera and the new characters. There were plenty of existing characters to work with so why are we being tortured with so many new ones being developed? I can't see that seasons four and five are doing much to attract new viewers.

I thought the episode was pointless and showed nothing for the next episode... seemed like a plot filler.... oh well..... Hope to see someone die soon.

I thought of it more as him realizing how easy it is to live in the world that his cousin lives in. Then he finds himself busting his ass, and thinks, "Why should I bother with this life?"

Agreed, this was an excruciatingly slow episode. I could care less about the doldrum, house wife life that Carmela leaves. I care even less about AJ (he'll never be head of the family...he's not an alpha male).

Only interesting thing was Tony B.'s turn, which could have been handled as a subplot to the pending war between Little Carmine and Johnny Sack (which they just ignore!!!!!!).

My mistake...I thought for sure he had directed a couple before. Guess I just got that impression his presence on the show and the DVD releases.
