True, I don't know what I would do in that situation, but I can't imagine not just flipping out, and taking my chances with the gun going off then just getting some guy off.

Acevedo needs to learn a thing or two from Andy Dufresne

Wow. Another great episode! I thought for sure that Acevedo would have told Vic just to get the two guys and the photo/video, but I guess he understands how indebted he would have to be to the strike team.

I can't believe Tavon is still alive tho he's pretty much a vegetable. I don't think Vic is protecting Shane, but more about protecting the money. Which is now in the hands of the feds.

Not sure how or where the Julian/Danni partnership is supposed to go, but maybe down the line we'll see it develop.

And wow, that hyna was foine.

I dozed off while watching my recording of tonight's episode, and woke up during Acevada's nightmarish rape, and that spooked the hell out of me, and then I backed up the recording and couldn't believe what happened to Acevada (mainly as payback for what Vic did to force the guy to smoke the bong earlier in the episode).

Whew...

I can't believe what an idiot Acevada was for going into that house alone with no backup, lone ranger style.

I also think it sucks that Tavon is basically done for, in one way or another. I thought he was a great addition to the strike team and to the show.

That's not quite what happened...he was there with the treasury agent, and decided to stay behind after the money was found. It obviously wasn't the smartest decision, but it wasn't like he went and tried to search the place solo.

He was with the Treasury agent at the house? I don't remember that at all. To me, it looked like he did go to the place solo. Maybe I skipped that part by accident.

Yeah. Aceveda's reasoning for staying behind alone and checking the place out was to "see what else he could find." Oh man... I don't think that was what he was looking for.

maybe the rapist will end up being the man who did it to Aceveda?
Probably not. The first old lady who got raped that reported it said it was a white guy.

Kind of screwed up of Aceveda, after all that, to not fund that project to analyze and find a likely area where the old-lady-rapist might live.

And of course the pictures will surface eventually. They *have* to. Heh, kind of odd the kid would want to take a picture to commemorate the event. What was he planning on doing? Showing it to all his fellow gang members?

Another great episode. This show never ceases to amaze me.

Easily the Best. Show. On. TV.

Also being a fellow police officer I think this show is the most accurate representation of our profession. HAHA yeah right... but you guys already know that... but on the other hand all of my coworkers never miss an episode. It was funny today in our Roll call we had guys in the back including myself making Coughing noises and gaging noises... everyone cracked up laughing.

ALso DUTCH is one hell of a detective... always willing to go the extra mile, like getting in the dumpster... when I see things like that on the show the writers really hit the nail on the head on how far we go for investigations.

I guess people who think this crossed the line have never seen Oz.

Sucks to be Aceveda. Bye bye political career.

Yeah, but Oz is on HBO, where it's expected for a show to be more explicit. But this was on FX which is a half a step up from a local station. In one show that had 1 naked young female booty and 2 cases of oral sex. Thats crossing the line in a big way.

A saw on the FX website that you can enter to win a trip to the set of the Shield and get 'Star Treatment'. I think I'll pass.

Personally, I thought the grilled face from S2 crossed the line more, but then again I realize that I am in the US where people seem to get more shocked by sexual acts than violent acts.

So, I'm confused.

Do all these "Best show on television" comments actually mean "Best Emulation of Star Trek by a Cop Show?"

It's the same damn episode every week. The strike team gets away clean by some coincidence or twist of fate (read: shaking down some nameless, faceless latino bandito). Claudette scowls. Aceveda acts smug. Julian pretends to be straight. Dutch gets all "Fox Mulder" on some poor sap in the interrogation room. And bam, by the end of the episode, the big giant reset button is pushed and we start all over again from scratch. It's basically "Voyager" mixed with the most prurient elements of "Fox News Tonight."

During Aceveda's little "ordeal," all I could do was roll my eyes and laugh. How far-fetched can you get? Sure, sure. Some mucho-macho latino thug is going to make a cop suck his dick with his buddy watching. Yeah, that's bound to happen in real life. Puh-lease.

Reset button?
So Tavon is gonna magically heal next week? Shane isn't gonna have a girlfriend by the end of next episode? Julien wont be married? Aceveda will forget he had a penis shoved in his mouth? Vic's family will revert to being a 2 parent household?

All those prison tales of male rape must be a myth, too.

You forgot about the reset button that made the Money Train money unmarked.

What's truly remarkable is when somebody who obviously hates the show continues to tune in every week.

Julian's gonna be pissed when he finds out what he could have been doing instead of following the stalker...

Funniest line of the night came from Claudette. As she and Dutch left the old lady's place, Dutch started putting on rubber gloves and she said, "Do you have something special planned for the ride back?"
