Shows I loved that were cut ridiculously short:

Wonderfalls
Firefly
Greg the Bunny
Strange Luck

Shows I loved that were cancelled for no real reason way before they should have been (but had more than a handful of eps) :

Angel
Farscape
Odyssey 5
Once and Again (but at least they got to have an "ending")
The Pretender (here they got some additional movies, but still no "ending")
Gilmore Girls (if the rumors are true that were posted in articles on Angel)

I will buy any and all of these when they are released on dvd (and have bought the available ones).

I loved that show! (and had no idea that it didn't last long)

On the flipside, I thought that there had only been a dozen episodes of Amazing Stories, only to find out that there were quite a few.....

Otherworld: Did this one feature a family that somehow was in a future/alternate universe, which of course was ruled by a fascist-type state, and there was some sort of 'underground' resistance that lived in the sewers/underground? I vaguely remember lots of sand, maybe some red, and the family being chased to the 'hole' in the ground where they could escape...I sound like I've living repressed memories.

Freaks and Geeks, thirded.

The Tick--I didn't get too much into it when was being shown on TV, but I rented the DVD's from Netflix and *loved* them. Although I don't know how long that shtick would have lasted, maybe it's better that it died reasonably quickly, rather than getting old. I have a newfound liking for Patrick Warburton.

Yeah, that's the one. They re-aired this on the Sci-Fi (sic) Channel back in the mid-1990s and I caught it again. Painful... very, very painful.

Anyone else remember Q.E.D. starring Sam Waterston? Bring 'Em Back Alive with Bruce Boxleitner? The Wizard with David Rappaport?

Add touching Evil to this list. Too bad USA and FX can't swap each other TE for Lucky and try them again.

Any chance with the Keen Eddie set coming out next month we could see a Family Guy resurgence and it get picked back up?

I always thought That's My Bush! was really funny. But then again it was really a one-joke concept, probably couldn't turn into a series.

I'm not sure if this qualifies since "ridiculously short period of time" is completely subjective, but I nominate The Honeymooners.

Only 39 episodes but one of the most influential sitcoms ever.

I remember this one really clearly from 1975... Groundbreakingly raunchy and adult, but still really warm & friendly...

A younger James Cromwell as the front desk clerk of a seedy hotel... Conchata Ferrell as a fat hooker with a heart of gold and infectious laugh... Also with Richard Masur and Al Freeman Jr... And a bunch of crazies... I remember it included an elderly gay couple, which surprised the heck out of me at the time...

The Powers of Matthew Star - Sci-fi NBC show from the early '80s
Hello Larry - horrible short-lived show with MacLean Stevenson. Must have been on NBC, as I remember a tie-in with Diff'rent Strokes.
California Fever - this one only ran for a few episodes back around 1980, seems like Jimmy McNichol was the star but I don't remember any other details

I'm really impressed Nowhere Man was mentioned. I loved that show. Hopefully it will see the light of day when it comes out on dvd at some point.

At least Keen Eddie will be out on dvd in a few weeks.

THANK YOU! Vague half memories of this show have haunted me for years. The only thing I remembered was that a family went into a cave or something and was trapped in an alternate universe with a fasciest state. I also remembered something about other people being robots and the family having to fake being robots, though I see from TVTome that that was only one episode. A very weird show, nobody I mentioned it to could remember it.

Undergrads was a great little animated show on MTV that sadly didn't get a second season. The show was actually funny and thoughtful, plus it perfectly set it self up for a long time run since it actually had some continuity (a rarity for animation). Thankfully, it did receive a DVD release last year.

It's Your Move!!

I would give anything to see "The Dregg's of Humanity" episode again.

Why in the world was this great show cancelled? It is one of the few small series shows that I can still quote from after all these years.
