Open Letter to April
My Dear April,
I don't want to alarm you or speak out of turn, but I wanted to give you a head's up a day early that March has been talking shit about you all week. A few minutes ago I overheard him in the hall, and I quote: "April's a punkass bitch! He ain't got no game. You'll see." I'm not an expert, but it appears that you just got served. Care to respond?
Sincerly losing his mind,

April's frail and weak. No sense coming with the thunder when she doesn't have too many responsibilities anyway. If I came on too strong, April would just curl up in a fetal position and cry, and then I'd have to waste time consoling her (no, not that way), time that could better be spent scaring the crap out of May and June, far more important months. Besides, I find she's more susceptible to peer pressure and more apt to put in the extra effort if it will prove March wrong.

I thought April was a girl?
I'd hate to hear what March thinks about May...

I'm not saying that to be rude, just stating what came to mind.

Well, the point of the thread, other than profound boredom, was to note that in March (parallel to my previous request), many of the shows really stepped up their game, not to mention the addition of some quality new shows, as opposed to the frustratingly bland season up to that point ... and the hope that this trend would continue on through April and to the "end" of the traditional television season. That thought being completely lost, at least I was able to inspire multiple people to post their dislike for the thread instead of simply letting it die, and this pleases me greatly. I think we all want to inspire others at some point, and having achieved this goal brings a tear to my eye. I'd rather do that than discuss the success of March and the hopes for April-June anyway.

Late March, early April is like the calm before the storm. Late April, a lot of the shows that went on a short hiatus come back and hopefully start ramping up their quality in prepartion for season finales and May sweeps. Then after we get all those great season finales, we have even more to look forward to this year. Three shows that were better last year than just about everything on TV right now have their season premieres, Six Feet Under, Nip/Tuck, and Dead Like Me.

Yeah, it's killing me to have to wait until June for these. If you assume the "season" ends in June, Six Feet Under will be shut out for the 2003-2004 season.
I'm really hoping Late April and May come up big, because this was a rough Fall. IMO, most of the best content was from off-/pre-season shows like The Wire, Nip/Tuck, and Dead Like Me, and we've been hurting since then.

I'm catching up on FX's first season repeats of Nip/Tuck on Wednesday nights at 10/9 Central. The premiere last week was awesome - also happy to see they are showing the eps in order.

Is this a sign of a kinder, gentler das? Say is ain’t so!
Back OT (I think), if the best March had to offer is Mad Mad House, then I guess things must be looking up for April. I mean, there's new episodes of Enterprise, yes?

I was glad that March rolled around... Crossing Jordan started again... but because its on Sunday nights, I often forget to watch. But the 3 of the last 5 I've watched have been good, but I don't think anyone is watching it.
Oh well... we'll be getting new epsiodes of some of the old favs soon enough.

I watch it every week (or 5 times a week it seems with the frequency that they air new eps now). I was actually going to start a thread to ask why I enjoy it so much, because it's not really that good, but I just love to watch it. Notice how the cast seems to double each week. Poor Bug ... he's had like one scene all season.

Wizdar - what're ya gonna do *shrugs* Don't worry. Cranky das never strays far. I got a tip from Londo that if I drink just enough I can put him to sleep for a short while.
