The fight between Shane and Tavon was awesome. I wouldn't say it was my favorite tv fight, but I definitely give it a nod for being realistic. Like others have said before, that is how a real fight goes down. I thought Tavon would hit Shane's fiancee, he went for her twice but stopped. Personally, I think Tavon is alive, but he will definitely be messed up.
I don't know how anybody is surprised about Shane being such a racist - it's always been part of his character.

I really liked the fight scene and was really freaked out by how dazed Tavon was when he was leaving. That look on his face was really creepy.

A lot of actors would have overplayed it, lurching around like Kurt from The Brain That Wouldn't Die when he got his arm torn off.
Shane gets the hell beaten out of him, his girlfriend saves his bacon by attempting (at least) to kill a cop and he's yelling for him to come back for more. He's like the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

With nearly every show going up in flames this season, it's great to see The Shield confidently strut across their ashes and remind everyone that they're the ****ing shit.

The show was great, but the best part is Dutch. No matter what his role in the show is, he makes it worthwhile.

I've got this show a close second to another show we both love, The Wire. Is that the right order for you also, or is something else in the mix?

Another
for the fight. It might not be Matrix-kewl, but it was intense and realistic. Tavon has to be dead, but I sure hope he isn't. He was just starting to get interesting.

Damn, that was one incredibly realistic fight. On fights in a furnished room there's usually a focus on the stuff (furniture, etc.) that gets damaged, but in this instance the camera never let up on the subject: two pissed-off guys trying to bash each others' brains out. The energy of that scene was intense.
I had a lot of respect for the Decoy Squad leader before; now I have even more. The shot of him with the pole was flat-out hysterical. Hopefully he and Vic will find some common ground. Ah, who am I kidding? There's going to be another fight soon.
Dutch was in fine form, what with the interrogation and the "you complete me" line.
Another stellar night from the Boys in Blue of Farmington. Can't wait for next week.

I thought that was the funniest, yet most in character line of the episode.

Sorry for the late post let me add my two cents on the Shane vs. Tavon fight I have to say WOW! that fight was really intense and I have to say that Shane got what he deserved when Tavon left him lying on the floor and I thought it was really funny that when Tavon got up and left Shane was calling after him too bad the GF stuck her nose in their business anad oh yes the Decoy Team running buck naked in the squad room was hilarious.

Good one, and the preview for next week makes it look like the show to watch.

Does anyone know if there will be a Shield marathon this season? I just got season 1 and 2 on dvd and I'm hooked! But I cant watch season 3 because I have already missed a bunch of episodes. So will they replay all of the episodes before the season finale? Or am I going to have to wait a long time? Haven't they done marathons before?

I wonder what the reprecussions of the fight and it's aftermath are going to be for both shane's relationship with his girlfriend and with the strike team if they find out the truth.

I just watched this yesterday...great episode. Amidst all the focus on Shane and Tavon, I am most interested to see what will be happening to Julian - he doesn't seem to be coping well with 'family' life.
