When you consider the way things are going with Feech, Johnny Sachs, Lorraine, Paulie, Christopher and Tony, I would say a major gang war is inevitable before season's end. FWIW, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if some people flip flop sides during the conflict as well. I could easily see Christopher's anger at being an errand boy take him to another side.
I actually think that this whole season might be one major war brewing and it will erupt/begin with the season finale, thus setting the stage for a bloody sixth and final season with a long list of casualties.

Not really because the Blundettos and Sopranos are related... The tree needs updates.

Sorry, that set up crap doesn't work anymore. That is what all the fanboys said to excuse the pathetic fourth season. They said it was set up and that season five would be the payoff. You can't afford this kind of snail's pace setup with a 13 episode per season series which only has new episodes every 16 months. This is not setup. It is David Chase without a clue and HBO executives without the balls to hold him accountable for this travesty of a series.

On what evidence do you base that prediction. Based on recent performance, the best estimate would be season six in September or October of 2005.

Feech might still hold a subtle grudge against Tony for holding up his poker game with Jackie Aprile all those years ago.

Re: Re: Sopranos family tree

I thought the hbo.com/sopranos site used to have a really good family tree in 'the wernick files', but that whole aspect of the site seems to have disappeared. Anybody know what happened to it?

oh, and all of the seasons have had a slow pace in the begining. sure, chase doesn't pay everything off, but we all can picture alot of stuff happening in the next few weeks.

oh and i meant season 6 in sept. 2005

I'm surprised you don't see more Sopranos actors in movies or other shows since they have so much time off between seasons. Most TV actors would love the kind of schedule they have to allow such long breaks to do other things.

i think they take longer period to shoot an episode. most shows take about a week-10 days to shoot a 45 min episode, while with the sopranos, they probably take their sweet old time.

Aside from James Gandolfini, Lorraine Bracco & Edie Falco the rest of the cast pops up in a lot of strait-to-video movies... They only just brought the movie guys in this year. (Steve Buscemi, Robert Loggia, Frank Vincent, etc.) Tony Sirico, Dominic Chianese, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Pastore, Drea de Matteo & John Ventimiglia have been in a bunch of low budgets in the past few years... Drea have the most main stream films (MADE & Prey For Rock-n-Roll). Plus Steven Van Zandt has the music thing in the off season.

A lot of them do theater. Lorraine Bracco did a stage production of the Graduate during the last hiatus. Edie Falco and Joey Pantaliano did a play together as well.

Robert Iler (allegedly) robs people during his time off.

I agree. Setup is something that happens over a couple of episodes and if it takes longer, it happens while other stuff is going on. If this turns out like Season 4 where something is always on the verge of happening but never does, then someone needs to wake up HBO and have them kick Chase in the nuts.

When the FBI agent said that the investigation could take years I said 'It better not take more than 4 more weeks.' And if this Mob war doesn't happen quick I'm gonna just wait for it to hit syndication to see the new eps.

Feech is such a great character, that after 3 weeks he's worked his way into daily conversation..

My friend will say he went out on Friday, I'll ask..."Was feech there? Hows he doing?"

Or, ill say "Im going to see the Passion of the Christ, im not sure how its going to be but all the critics raved about Feech's performance"

Cracks our stupid asses up every time.

That's not even the case here because in the commentary track of Pine Barrens on the DVD, Buscemi mentioned the typical episode of the Sopranos takes 10 days to shoot, while Pine Barrens took 14 days because of all the location shots.

I'm thinking the whole "set up" excuse is to placate those "fans" who think every episode should be a wack-fest. Jeezus Christ. Enough's enough. If you're sitting there watching, waiting, hoping for someone to get wacked, more times than not, you're going to come away disappointed.

Yeah, on one of the talk shows, a Sopranos cast member also stated the sixth season would be in '05.

I saw Edie Falco on a recent episode of "Will and Grace" playing a bossy lesbian to Chloe Sevigny.

on a side note, Steve Schirripa (Bobby Bacala) was on Imus monday morning, and they were talking about sunday's episode. he was commenting on how fat he was, because the episode was shot over a year ago and he's since lost over 40 lbs.. i thought that was interesting.

If they shot season5 a year ago, there's no excuse to why we had to wait till March'04 for them to air. Should have started airing them in Sep'03, much like season4 started in Sep'02.

hmm after doing a little bit of searching, Buchemi was casted officially in april (and probably started shooting in may or june), and Gandolfini came back in in febuary, I bet they didn't wrap shooting til september or october of 2003.

well, yet again, I can't remember who said it, but one of the stars said they went back to shoot some more scenes for this season.

it was either Steve S., Drea or Michael...

[and it was as recent as last week.]

I remember seeing/reading an interview with Drea, and she said how they started taking almost twice as long to shoot an episode in seasons 3+, as they had previously, due to them frequently reshooting.

and also, unlike most tv shows, they don't air the episodes until everything is done and ready. most shows are still shooting well into the season.

I was LOLing when Lorraine offered to suck all the guys c0cks... She seemed so tough and then 2 seconds later she's begging for her life.
*Exactly*. I thought this totally undermined her character's credibility. She had a rep for being tough too!
