I thought the episode was pretty good. I don't remember any incidents where they were stretching the believablility of the situations. I think they did a good job of tying up all the story lines from the season.

I started to get really worried when Larry froze up on stage, but then with the brilliant twist as soon as it turned into a duplication of The Producers with Mel and Anne shadowing Max and Leo from the film, the episode completely redeemed itself. My only problem was Larry passing up sex with Cady because of the Bush photo.

I really thought this episode was lacking a lot, especially for a 1 hour season finale.
Could have been much better.
I didn't laugh all that much compared to some of the other episodes.

He gave up free sex because she was a republican. That kind of annoyed. Decent episode.

The Mel and Anne stuff was clever on one level, in that it echos the show, but the reality is that if an actor didn't click in the role, he'd be replaced (in fact, that's already happened in The Producers on Broadway). Overall a little disappointing, but I was sorta impressed by Larry's singing and stage presence. Not too bad.
BTW: Why show all that stuff in the airplane bathroom if it's not going to lead to anything? I thought some big OCD payoff joke was coming. Turns out we just got to watch Larry pee all over the place for a minute.

So-so finale last night. For an hour, I think that it should have had much more substance - at least humor-wise.
I will say that the funniest moment was with the bellboy showing Larry around his hotel room. Telling him about the thermostat, the water faucet, the television. Larry goes, "The floor is for walking...got it."

The whole season was a reprisal of the original Producers movie- the payoff at the end was that Mel Brooks wanted the show to flop- that's why he got LD for the role, because he knew he would be awful at it. It was just on accident that people liked him, just like the hipster Hitler in the original movie.
Incidentally, anyone notice that all the scenes in the bar were actually shot as mirror images of the scenes in the movie? Every scene that was a left-facing shot in the movie was a right-facing shot in CYE.. very clever...

No, I got it and found it slightly amusing. But for a show that so cleverly riffs on show business and celebrities every week, this story felt way too broad and out-of-character.

The only part which stretched believability for me was the flight attendant's attitude. Not going to happen, especially not in first class.
So, will the next season (if there is one) address whether Larry got laid in the one hour after the show? I can't believe they left that hanging, no pun intended.

I laughed really hard at the "Jeff just sits there for 5 hours on the plane" and "Larry trying to pee during the turbullence", and Jeff's comment about "putting on the Bush mask...". The rest was okay.
Too bad we didn't find out if Larry's final hour was successful before his booty call window closed on him.

I was hoping that the next scene would show Larry walking out of the bathroom with his pants all wet and that David Schwimmer would say something to him.

So...with the bathroom scene...what happened to the story line of Larry always sitting when he pees? They use it for a joke when it is to their advantage and then they drop it when it is not to their advantage. bah
I agree...fairly boring finale and the mirror imaging of the producers does not seem that intelligent to me...but oh well
