I was happy with the finale and the season! I think this is another episode that needs to be watched more than once for all the humor to sink in. Another finaly where Larry "saves the day!" (like he did in the restaraunt with the chef)
I loved the felatio date- Larry with the hot sauce had me rolling!!
On a side note- My opinion on the gift: I don't think he recieved his gift- not with only an hour left on their anniversary, and all the post show happening... Too bad, Larry- you had your shot with Gina Gershon AND Cady!

The airline bathroom incident felt like a scene that had the punchline edited out. When I was watching it, I thought "I bet in the deleted scenes part of the DVD there was some other ending."
I did not expect Larry to get his "gift" as the humor and interest was in the pursuit of the goal. Getting the gift would add nothing in terms of humor but might alienate some viewers.

I thought the bathroom scene gag was ... look what happened to him when he finally did pee standing up.
Everybody gives him a hard time about sitting when he pees and then when he does stand up ...... turbulence!

I loved it.
I thought it was great that Stephen Colbert made and appearance, that was a very pleasant surprise!I thought it was hillarious that he wouldn't have sex with Cady because she was a Republican!
Great show. Jerry cringing and leaving was great also...
Overall, great finale.

BTW this will not be mentioned next season, just like nothing about the restaurant was mentioned THIS season.

Just saw this and omg, that was horrible. I didn't even crack a smile the entire second half. I really liked the last several episodes, but that finale was without a doubt the worst Curb episode ever.
I guess I shouldn't have expected much. I tried to watch the original Producers and I couldn't stand it, it was so bad. I can't believe people who like Curb would also like that incredibly simplistic humor.
I think the worst part of the episode was the audience. I can't remember the last time I've seen acting that bad. I'm also in shock that nothing from earlier in the season came back. It's bad enough that in previous season finales, they've referenced earlier episodes. What makes it really terrible though, is the fact that the majority of the bits this season didn't ever really come to any sort of closure like they use to on Seinfeld and Curb. And a lot of bits not only didn't have closure, but they didn't even do anything at all, like the aforementioned airplane bathroom thing.
The twist was a little clever, but come on, Brooks didn't really do anything to sabotage the play. He doesn't know Larry well enough to know that so many things go wrong around him. Brooks should just mainly know that Larry created one of the most succesful shows of the 90s. Not that great of an idea for how to ruin a play.
Man, am I the only one who has come to hate HBO season finales? Right now I can't think of 3 hours of TV in the last year that have pissed me off more than the Curb, SFU, and Carnivale season finales. Hehe, I missed the SITC series finale and now I'm starting to think maybe that was a good thing.
