Been on the fence for getting this set (want to grab the R4 import with the interesting extras) and have never seen the whole thing, so i guess my replayTV will be keeping me up to date and i will prob just end up getting the set.

interestingly enough, i just got done watching this earlier tonight. i have had the tin laying around for awhile and had never gotten around to watching it so i popped it in this weekend. WOW!!! i had watched a few episodes on HBO when it was orginallyl on but got sidetracked and lost it. i think watching it all at once helped too as opposed to having to wait a week (for HBO).

I watched the 2 first episodes, got angry that I had to wait a day for each following episode, went out and got the box set and watched the next 8 in the last 2 days.
Very good series.

Holy shit, I totally forgot Jimmy Fallon (yes the one from SNL) was in this. He was on tonight

DVD Talk Special Edition
Just an FYI, but those that are relying on a PVR to catch the airings should be aware that the documentary "We Stand Alone Together" will NOT be picked up by Season Passes and the like.
It airs on Saturday night.

Probably "The Breaking Point", though I think "Points" is the one that chokes me up the most (at the end).
I think I should break out my DVD set and start watching this again. Best war film ever, IMO.

oh and the violence is edited. the strong explicit gore is black and there aren't any explict close ups on the history channel version. and its TV-14-LV, while the hbo version is TV-MA-LV
