Wow...lamest reality show ending...EVER. As for her picking Gil, I can't really blame her, though I can't understand how Gil got to the finale. Brian's got no moves. Gil's got no sense of humor.

Can anyone come up with a few names of people who SHOULD have been there?

I think Theo and Michael should have made it. Not because of their looks either. They seemed like genuinely nice and funny guys. Sorry to say, but I just didn't see any of the average joe's having enough of a personality. I rooted for Adam last time because he was at least confident and knew how to talk to women. Just didn't see it this time.

i also thought the secret was that she had a kid but exactly why did gil freak out when he heard she dated fabio? whats the big deal? i mean THAT NEWS caused him to leave HER?! uh...what?

hes like "any guy would understand what im going through"

i didnt. you are a moron. it was NO SHOCK that she chose gil over brian, because in the end looks count more than anything else.

but i wish she went back to brian after gil dumped her. he RULED! i hope he gets a show like adam (from AJ1) did.

I think that I saw an article on CNN or Zap2it with Fabio's response to the show, but I can't find it now. Anyone know what it said?

It was EW:

Gasp! Fabio's response to the ''Average Joe'' finale. Though the wounded couple claims to be together again, the Italian stallion predicts a future dating problem for Gil by Liane Bonin

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT Fabio dated not-your-''Average''-girl, Larissa

If you shook your head wondering: ''What's Gil's damage?'' after seeing the finale of ''Average Joe: Hawaii,'' you're not the only one. Even Fabio (whose last name is Lanzoni) was surprised by the Florida construction worker's decision to dump Larissa Meeks once she revealed that the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spokesman was an ex.

In a phone call from Milan (where the hunk is working on a line of outerwear for Sam's Club), Fabio kidded with his manager Eric Ashenberg, 'If this guy is looking to only go out with someone who hasn't dated me, he's going to have to start dating men.''

According to Ashenberg, Fabio's split from Meeks was amicable. ''Fabio thinks she's a very nice girl and he only wishes her well.'' Which does NOT mean that Fabio's pining like poor Boston Brian. Noting that his client has moved on romantically, Ashenberg says: ''Let's just say he's resilient.''

He's not the only one. On Tuesday, Gil and Larissa appeared on the Today Show, holding hands, and claiming that even though the show made it look as if they split up over the Fabio revelation, they actually stayed together. And so ends the most dramatic Italian problem ever.

I actually thought you guys were kidding about the "Fabio" twist. I had to verify with one of my friends.

wow, now I'm even more disappointed in Larissa for not ditching Gil after his reaction to the Fabio factor. Couldn't they find a beautiful woman who is just as beautiful inside (emotionally, intellectually, etc.)? Or did they only look for women that they suspected would choose a "hunk" when it all boiled down to it, since that is more controversial and controversy generates buzz?

Yep. She could have been blind and the outcome would be the same.

When I was watching it, the Fabio twist seemed scripted to make her look bad so the viewers could be satisfied that she got screwed over. I could imagine the producers thinking, "Oh no, she picked the hunk! We can't do that twice!" I guess they just lucked out and were able to do it with editing.

I will watch Average Joe 3 just to check out the girls, and because I thought Adam was a good guy even though there's no way he's having any woman troubles now other than getting more offers than he can handle.

I gotta get on a tv show. The hot new girl in my office has a picture of William Hung in her cubicle
