VH-1's "The Most Outrageous Game Show Moments"

O.K., first, did this show first run on one of the three major networks? It looks like it could have. I just want to comment on how creepy the game show hosts from the 60's and 70's look now. Bob Eubanks hair! Makes Donald Trump's look normal. And Wink Martindale must be going to Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon. Scary scary.

Yeah, but it was funny as hell. I loved the UK show where the sausage man in the top hat looked like he was um, ah - spanking his monkey.

or

"Name something you take to the beach"

"Turkey!"

Yeah, that was hiliarious. That was just on. Which prompted this thread. How about the woman on the U.S. Family Feud?

Richard Dawson: Name the month when a pregnant woman starts to show.

Female contestant: September!

There were 3 of these specials over the past couple years - they each aired originally on NBC. VH1 airs them occasionally (which makes no sense IMO).

My favorite clip is from The Newlywed Game when Eubanks asks "What's your husband's favorite condiment?", and the first wife answers "His pool table" and the next one says "I don't know what that word means either, so I said his karate school."

VH1 airs whatever the hell it can get now when they're not showing I Love the '70s, I Love the '80s, The Best Week Ever, and ET on VH1 on a continious loop.

I'm awaiting the moment that VH1 get the rights to air all of FOX's specials, like THE WILDEST POLICE CHASES 28.

I like the one where Bob Barker killed some woman with a savate kick after she tried to take an extra Plinko chip.

Those 2 clips are some of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Q: "Name something you take to the beach?"
A: "Turkey"

Q: "What is the first thing you buy in the grocery store?"
A: "Turkey

Q: "Name a food you stuff?"
A" "Turkey"

I also love these 2 from Family Feud with Richard Dawson.

Q: "In what month do pregnant women start showing?"
A: "September"

(the following 2 Q's to the same contestant)
Q: "What time do you wake up?"
A: "Morning"

Q: "What time do you go to bed?"
A: "Night"

"Night" actually scored 2 pts.

Is this on again anytime soon? My mother and her 4 sisters were on the Family Fued in the late 70's, and gave such wacked out answers I'd like to see if they made the show.

Sean Connery: Uh.. I'll take "Swords" for $400.

Alex Trebek: It's actually not "Swords".. these are words that begin with "S". The answer is: "Popeye is this sort of man". [ Reynolds buzzes in ] Burt Reynolds.

Burt Reynolds: What is.. Popeye?

Alex Trebek: [ sighs ] No. [ Connery buzzes in ] Sean Connery. And, remember, these are words that begin with the letter "S", i>not "Swords".

Sean Connery: [ bangs podium, thinking ] Saber!

Alex Trebek: No.

It's not worded quite like that, but yes, the clip closes the show.

I never thought I'd say this:

Remember when VH1 used to play music videos?

My bad... Haven't seen the clip in a while.

Celebrity Jeopardy was the best part of SNL for those few years.

Trebek: "Okay, and for how much Mr. Connery?"

Connery: "Surprise me you filthy bastard..."
