The whole time she was singing, my husband and I were imitating her parents. "Let's name our daughter after a Disney movie!" "Ok, how about Dumbo?" I did like her though-- she had a spark that I only also really saw in Diana.
I thought the worst was that asshat "Walking in Memphis" dude. Yuck. I just hate that faux-gruff singing style. It seems so put on and affected, almost as bad as Joshua Gracin's "twang". Dude sounded like he was trying to imitate Joe Cocker or something, didn't seem like his natural singing voice.

I 100% agree with you. "Fantasia"
has one of the most annoying voices I've ever heard...seriously! And she is ugly as shit as well. Hell Scotti Pippen has a more attractive face The "Walking in Memphis" dude, has a very, very weak voice and has only advanced because of the millions of pre-teens who voted for him because of his dorky smile.

Finally got around to watching this week's episodes.
I didn't care for Fantasia at all, and think she is highly over rated.
Katie was my first choice, sounded pretty good and has a great look.
Fantasia has a horrible look, and couldn't stop "bouncing" around during and after her performance. Found that annoying.
Next week looks fun with the brother's going after each other (I assume unless one blows the other away, that their votes will cancel each other out).
I'm rooting for the Football player in this upcoming round.
